Dishwasher came with the present house were in when we bought the house. It works great I just use the auto setting and the washer adjusts to the dish load resulting in clean dishes.

This kitchen appliance washes the dishes fine but has some issues. First issue is a couple years ago the racks started rotting and rust loses out of the racks and onto the dishes. The second issue is the gasket for the liquid rents and streak additive never stays in place. The third issue is recently with a printed Circuit board for the upper door controls filled with water and stopped working. I had to clean the water out of the printed circuit board dry them and reassemble. I wouldve replaced those parts that failed except that they are very expensive compared to the price of a replacement washer. My LG side-by-side refrigerator compressor failed. My LG above range microwave had to be completely replaced. My LG range oven gas oven had a problem with the circulating fan and a separate instance the igniter had to be replaced. My LG washing machine has the issues described above. All of these lg appliances were bought at the same time in a bundle. Each one has failed.

Rusting problem

Wouldnt recommend this dishwasher. It cleans the dishes but over time both of the racks have rusted badly and it seems to be quite difficult to replace them.

We purchased this dishwasher several years ago and are happy with it. It cleans our dishes well. Plastic items are not bone dry at the end of the cycle but that does not particularly bother me. I recently had an experience where I called Customer Service to trouble shoot because the dishwasher was not starting. A few minutes on the phone fixed the issue and I avoided a service call. Excellent result

Incredible dishwasher

This dishwasher is very quiet and efficient. I like the adjustable top rack and the fold-down tines in the main racks that easily make room for large bowls. There are more features than any dishwasher I have ever had allowing short wash quick dry small load heavy load and an automatic setting that takes away the guesswork. When my grandchildren visit Im glad all the electronic controls are on top of the door and are not accessible when the door is shut. This is the best dishwasher I could possibly want. It even plays a melody when the cycle is finished.

I like the top rack for silverwarebut sometimes it falls down if hit with something from the 2nd rack so my husband had to wire them on bottom rack the tines fall down to easy have to put them back up every time I finish a load after cleaning. Bought this dishwasher model #LDF7774ST in October of 2015. In November of 2017 squealing noises started. Called customer service and never received a call back. We had to replace the water pump in 2017. Early June of 2022 the dishwasher started to smell hot. Unplugged it and found that the wires in the control panel had started to melt. Never buying another LG appliance

Good But Be Careful

Everything works fine. There is one problem with the middle spray arm. If you close the door with the center rack out and the spray arm perpendicular to the front you will break the spray arm off. I did that and had to get a new one.

Pros: bottom racks can me modified to accommodate bigger bowls pots and pans. Easy to clean filter. Third rack is great for silverware. Different modes of cleaning I.e. half load - upper or lower. I just dont know if its saving water since time to wash is similar. Cons: Theres left over soap when I used both the gel and packs. The movable racks doesnt lock as good after 3 years. Some rack tips cover are gone and metal are exposed.

Defective rack coatings

The upper rack was replaced just under the 5 year warranty because the nylon coating failed and the prongs rusted and collapsed. Now the remaining 2 racks are failing and rust is evident. Customer service has not responded re the racks installed at the factory were defective and should be replaced at no cost.

The covering on the racks and tines in the lower basket wear out easily and are costly to replace. I bought this model because I wanted to have the flexibility to collapse the racks to accommodate large pots. Unfortunately the part of the racks that make them collapsable have rusted out. I now have a problem loading plates into the dishwasher.

Quiet and works well but racks rusted fast

Its a beautiful appliance. Its quiet. As long as you keep the filters clean and you have soft water it works very well. We were very disappointed when the racks rusted within a couple of years. The rinse aid dispenser is also tricky and Im never confident it will dispense properly--seems very inconsistent.

Bad bottom rack design

My LG dishwasher is almost 5 years old. From the start I hated the bottom rack with the tines that can be adjusted for different size plates and bowls. The tines fall down and it takes a lot of effort to load the dishwasher. Ive tried using twist ties to keep them in place but no luck. If I replace it with a new bottom basket will it still have that terrible design?

This DW has been awful from the start never dried dishes always smelled and now at just 5 yrs in 2/4/22 water wont drain. Reading these reviews Im terrified to ask for help. I have LG TVs and love them never had a problem. This DW replaced the original 17yrs old one that came with our new house. We should have kept it since it worked. We wanted stainless steel and now thats all we have.

Motor went bad already once and it was reaplaced when it was in under warranty. Last month Machine was stopped working could not run due to some safety feature kicked in due to some water leakage .I had to call someine to fix this and paid from my pocket as it was out of warranty. Awful dishwasher. Racks corroded rusting after less than 5 years of once a week use. LG refused to replace upper rack which was badly rusted underneath so not easily visible to homeowner when discovered just a few weeks past warranty. Since read on other sites that many people with LG dishwashers using this rack have experienced same excessive rusting/corrosion.

The bottom rack was replaced because the racks wouldnt stay up the top rack has rusted and the rack spokes are breaking iff. I have had it about 5 years. it shouldnt be defective already. Paid extra for smudge free smudges present that dont wash off.
