I bought it 4 years ago and in the last two months the compressor has quit leaving me with a great grocery replacement bill. Thanks to up above that I bought the extended warranty because Im sure two compressors would have been a hefty bill. Not happy for having to sit around using a cooler for refrigeration for over a week.

We just received our new LG refrigerator yesterday. We like the storage bins and the extra ice storage bin. Our only critique is that the display where you select water ice cubes or crushed ice is not lit up at night making it hard to see if the kitchen lights are off.

Worked great right up until the compressor blew

Compressor blew up at 4 years old right before thanksgiving. Did some research and found out that there was a class action settlement that pertained to this model due to compressors failing. Called LG they came out and fixed it. It seems to be working properly again but I had to buy a high low temperature monitor because I dont trust it anymore.

LG makes refrigerators with a short life

This LG came highly recommended by sales people. We bought a 5 yr warranty and at 5 yrs and 1 month the frig quit working. We cant find a local repairman and weve had to call a company out twice in 2 weeks to fix it. Repairmen say the LGs only last 5or6 years Thats crazy that they sell appliances with such short life to themImagine all thats going into landfills

This refrigerator makes a lot of noise. We purchased a 5 year protection plan and 5 years and one month later it quit working A repairman came but its still not fixed. Seems like companies are making refrigerators that only last 5 years or so
