Just what the title says. 4.5 years old and compressor failure. Luckily we kept our old refrigerator which is much older than this one that has not had compressor failure otherwise we would have lost everything in our fridge. I dont know that Id ever buy an LG refrigerator again.

I should not have to pay for a faulty refrigerator. Highly disappointed in the company for not honoring its product and selling a product with a known defect.

I bought this in 2016. The compressor has already failed. Scheduling repair service with LG certified technicians would take several weeks. We could not wait that long to have no refridgerator or freezer. So we had to buy a new refrigerator - no way was the replacement a LG Extremely disappointed. Several friends also had similar experiences with their LG refrigerators - one only got 4 years service before having to replace it for a failed compressor.

I have had so many issues with this refrigerator. During the first year it had issues and they kept sending techs and finally a troop of guys came out and replaced the control panel. I have an ice maker that freezes up often and has big chunks of stuck ice on one side. Now the bottom of the refrigerator section is filling with water on one side Its never ending. I had a KA side by side for 20 years without a single issue. I love my LG TV stove and washer/dryer but the refrigerator has been a huge disappointment.

lfxs30726s Has had problems since 1 year old. LG came out multiple times to work on it under warranty but freezer would still periodically thaw everything. Now its not cooling anything out of full warranty but under the 10 year parts warranty. But you have to pay an LG tech hundreds of dollars to replace the warranty parts. On top of that their tech has been here four times and it still doesnt work. Garbage product and garbage support.

I bought this 5 years ago. Compressor has-been changed twice and it has a refrigerant leak in a sealed system and cannot be fixed. The temperature goes too high and takes forever to cool down. Very disappointing. I hope LG has fixed these issues and improved the refrigerator.

Had a really good experience with the fridge to begin with. The compartments were large and even door space was well thought out. The freezer had ample space as well for anything you might want to put in there. However after 4 years the fridge broke down and technicians said it was compressor problem and they were really bad on all LG fridge using linear compressor. From that point on I did back and forth with LG and various 3rd party providers to get it fixed but after 7 weeks finally had LG pay me money back instead of getting it fixed which might have never happened.

Ive had this Refrigerator for a week now. It came with a few minor dings but I went ahead and accepted it Lowes gave a 5 off as a result. The refrigerator worked the first time out the box and is still working perfectly. The only real drawback is the internal shelves adjustment to accommodate 1gal or 3ltr Jugs/Bottles and still have adequate shelf spacing for other product placement.

The cost of labor to repair is not covered under warranty and you arent able to get any technician to touch an LG due to poor warranty policies. Purchased this refrigerator in 2014 Still loving all the design elements of the refrigerator the finish and all the interior compartments. Everything has held up beautifully except the main function keeping cold We had to have the condenser/compressor replace just one year later and then five years later and now again just under two years later. I am assuming it had to do with the type of condenser/compressor model used. Hoping this one holds up The service department and warranty coverage is excellent though I think LG should have waived my labor costs on this last repair considering the repair history Much to my husbands protests I would still purchase another LG French door refrigerator because of how beautifully it is configured and how it still looks brand new 8 years later.

We bought this a week ago and love it so far. The lighting is great the size of the drawers is much better than our last LG and we love the flexibility of the middle drawer and its a perfect place to put wine. The craft ice is an amazing addition compared to our last LG. I do have a few complaints though which LG should have caught when designing this fridge. The first is that the storage compartments in the sides of the fridge are not nearly big enough. You cannot even fit the smallest size of jelly jar in the storage shelves so that is a major design flaw. They should have made these wider to fit common condiments. Also the shelves cannot be adjusted unless you remove a shelf completely which is another design flaw. Our last LG you could adjust the shelves to many different levels without having to remove the shelves.

Im one of those people who shops for features not brand 4 brands of appliances in our kitchen. When our previous LG French Door refrigerator died after about 8 years due to an unfixable coolant leak we had a perfect excuse to change brands. After due diligence we bought a newer version of the same LG French Door model with an in-door water and ice dispenser. And after 3 years the compressor had to be replaced and a coolant leak fixed. If necessary we would have replaced with another LG French Door refrigerator. Why? LG makes best use of the interior space not simply CF but usable space. 3 fridge packs of soda OJ almond milk liquid coffee creamer several jars of jelly flavored water bottles and zero sugar tea zero sugar sports drinks lunch meat sliced and shredded cheese sausage frozen waffles and pancakes ice cream. The list goes on. Interior space was critical as our household consisted of three generations. Our toddler grandson can get a cup of water and ice for himself a bottle of sports drink for himself or Nana or a bottle of zero sugar tea for Pop. The well-designed interior makes this the best choice for us. Every brand of appliance has some issues. Circuit boards. Ice makers. Poor use of space. LG like some other brands has issues with compressors. We bought our LG at a big box store. Often that means a third-party repair service. Our LG was serviced by an LG employee not a third party. He had the needed parts on his truck when he arrived instead of having to go back and get or order parts. And the spoiled food? We filed a claim less than the policy limit and promptly received reimbursement. I wish LG could improve their compressors but ours was replaced at no out of pocket cost.

Bought this fridge in Dec. 2015. It has needed repair 5 times since March 2019. Either the fridge stopped cooling or the freezer stopped. They have replaced the condenser 2x the compressor 2x fans and other parts in the ice maker. Just had it repaired two weeks ago for not cooling properly in the fridge and freezer AGAIN and now the ice maker is not dispensing ice. SIGH I have lots countless $$ in wasted food. I do have to say that customer service has been wonderful in having someone come out and repair...every time. BUT now that its over 5 years old we now have to foot all repair costs. Kinda feel like that is unfair since this is an inferior product. Truly wish I could get another fridge at this point. I just feel like it should have lasted longer given the initial purchase cost. Geez...they certainly dont make them like they used to. Im pretty sure my mom had a fridge that lasted over 20 years before it had a problem.

This is my second LG refrigerator. The compressor in the first one died right at the expiration of the warranty. Hesitantly I purchased a new one. Ice maker took quite a while to produce ice. Although roomy on the inside there is limited mobility for the shelves. There are only three positions available while the previous fridge had many more options.

Deeper fridge than our last onebummed the shelves dont move as I cant store bottles water or tea on the shelves. Very expensive-but love the duel ice makers. The refrigerator was great until it started to not cool. This happened probably 3-4 years after purchased. Then again just recently it happened again only this time they replaced the compressor. It works now but its 5 times louder. Probably about 400-500 dollars worth of food has gone bad in the two times.

Compressor stopped working at 5 years one week and because it was one week past five years LG refused to cover the full cost of replacement. The compressor itself has ten year warranty but the labor and other parts were not. Not great considering a lawsuit over failed compressors is why the repair was even covered. Very frustrating that they were that strict for one week past 5 years for a problem that is rampant in this model.

Refrigerator is only six years old. Compressor and computer system replaced at 3 years due to a complete shut down of systems. About 2 months ago ref Refrigerator stopped working again. Found clogged drains that were poorly constructed causing refrigerator failure. Thankfully handy husband fixed and working properly again but now it has some kind of vibrating noise that is highly annoying Tried leveling adjusting the noise stops just to start again with a vengeance AWFUL

I bought this refrigerator six years ago it looked nice lots of space lots of extras. Ice maker was a little slow but most everything else was great. Six years in the compressor died. Unfortunately late at night. Had to scramble the next morning to rescue what we could and put it in coolers with dry ice. This was a hassle but the unit had a ten year warranty on the compressor so I checked with LG and got phone numbers for local service. This was a Tuesday. I couldnt even get someone to look at it until the next week and then who knows how long it would take to get parts and repair it. Had to go out the next day and get a new refrig. At that point I wasnt happy with LG so I replaced it with a similar model with less features from another brand. Certain things we miss but were adjusting. Dont think I could trust LG enough at this point to buy from them again. An expensive lesson.
