Noisy fridge

Lost refrigerant within a year of purchase. A LG technician came out and fixed the problem. Now 5 years later having more problems. Im hearing noise. And heavy frost build up in the freezer. A repair person came out and diagnosed low coolant causing the noise

Not reliable in the long run

Wanted a side by side fridge with a ise and water dispenser in the door. Picked this one because it fit in the kitchen opening. The first year I had to have it repaired because of a coolant leak. Now a few years later I can hear compressor noise and and the freezer is frosting up. Repair people tell me that the fridge is most likely low on coolant again which is something their company doesnt add/repair. Just not impressed with the LG product

Disappointed in LG quality and service

I purchased this refrigerator 6 years ago. The compressor has now gone bad. The problem is that LG only warranty this compressor for full repair for 5 years. LG will replace my compressor for free but the labor cost is over $600 which is more than half of the cost of what I paid. Of course there has been a class action lawsuit on these refrigerator compressors which LG had to pay. Anyway I dont see paying over $600 for labor for a known defective compressor when I can go purchase a new not LG Refrigerator for just more and it will be reliable. This is coming from a person who owns an LG washer and dryer which both have been great

I purchased this refrigerator in 2018. Unbeknownst to me LG has an issue with bad compressors. My compressor went out less than 5 years of having the refrigerator. Thank God the warranty was extended due to the known issues with the compressors.
