Hammer Effect and terrible smell

We bought this unit about 8 years ago and have put up with it long enough. The incredibly loud hammer noise when the water fills we are concerned damages our pipes. Worse is the incredible mold build up on the rubber gasket and the bad smell coming from within the dryer AND the clothes thereafter. Even while using Alfresh. I see other similar reviews and yet they somehow have 5 stars. Is LG changing the star rating on these???? If so that would be false and misleading advertising/misrepresentation. Well see if this review stars get changed from the 2 stars that this deserves.

this washer has a large capacity which is nice and worked great for the years i had it. the last year i had it the motor went out which was replaced but then subsequently had another issue with it draining and the motor went out again. at that point it was no longer under warranty and the out of pocket didnt make any sense. it gave me 6 good years.

This dryer is okay. It does its job but not perfectly and not efficiently sometimes not at all. The features are there but dont work 100 of the time. There are times where I open the machine only to find that my clothes are still wet.

We bought the washer in 2016 and the drain pump quit working 2 weeks ago. Its under warranty but the authorized repairmen are more expensive. The warranty doesnt cover labor.

I use Affresh monthly and wipe the rubber gasket every time I do wash. Still smells and the mold that has built up on the rubber is impossible to remove After every each water sits in between the rubber and has to be absorbed by a sponge I used to keep the door open but I cant even do that now because the odor is overwhelming Extremely disappointed and disgusted with this machine I bought LG because I have had other LG appliances and have been very happy with them. But not this machine

I have to confess I am in love with LG products. All my appliances Fridge Washer dryer TVs are LG. This washer is replacement for my old 8 year old machine got in the same color and so far its working out great. Its more silent than previous with LG mobile app am able to automate and schedule times. Works like a charm

wasting water we have septic and electricitynot to mention my time and energy. Additionally Ive cleaned the tub multiple times with varuous producrs to no avail. it still smells moldy regardless of the season. new this week the detergent is not flowing through into the wash which means the clothes after hitting restart x 4-5 are now not clean?
