I have had this washer for 8 years just my wife and I and the motor failed. A10 warranty but $400.00 labor charge to replace motor. I new Washing machine is between $650.00 and a $1000.00 So why would I spend $400.00 to repair a washer that could even make it pass the 10 motor warranty for 2 people I would expect to get at least 12 to 15 years out of this washing machine

I had a 2012 LG washer and dryer. The dryer froze up in July 2023 so I replaced it. Only issue is the light does no go on when you open the door. The power button must be turned on. This is very bothersome not having the light when unloading. The washer went out and flooded my house. Ordered a new one as the repair cost from LG would have been $400. When I removed the washer and had it out side I found two small hoses had come loose. One was to the pressure switch to control water to the tub. The second was to the overflow. Connected them back up connected water line and electricity and washer worked once again. It did not overflow during the cycle. Not a $400 repair. By the way these hoses did not have any clamps holding them in place. The washer is now at a vet clinic where my daughter works and is working fine. Anyway I bought the new washer and it is working very well. The water hammer that existed with the old 2012 washer has been fixed What a relief. That water hammer also exists on the set I have at our second home. These units were purchased in 2009. As one can see I do like LG products. I have a refrigerator and television by LG.

This washer is efficient and I have had an overall good experience with it. However it is ridiculously loud and I have never been able to keep it in proper balance. I also had to have a repair service done because it was not spinning the water out of my clothes. The repair technicians were very rude and even cussed and yelled at my washer . T

LG Customer support is disappointing

Overall the wash machine washes well when it works. Unfortunately after 8 years of use the Hall sensor also know as the tub rotation sensor went bad. Thank god for youtube. It turned out to be an easy fix. I was very disappointed with LGs customer service. They were very nice but useless. They told me i would need to call a service man yet i spent 5 minutes on youtube and found the solution that their tech could not provide for me. I replaced the part and asked for reimbursement since that part was under their 10 year warranty. They would not honor it since a service man did not replace it. I paid $13 dollars for the part and replaced it in 20 minutes. I told them i could send in the defective part as proof it was defective but they said they do not handle returns of defective parts. I switched to LG because i thought they were a good company that stood behind their products but i guess that is not the case.

8 years old and my husband has replaced the pump seven times Water leaked out front from day one. App NEVER worked Water out the bottom weekly. Loud as a freight train and rusting where dispenser pushes into machine which began happening after 2 years. I sincerely urge you to NOT PURCHASE AN LG ANYTHING

I bought this machine as part of a set 8 years ago. Now the dial on the Wash machine doesnt always work you need to spin it several times to get it to move to the different settings. Spoke to customer service and since I didnt buy an extended warranty was told I would need to call a local service guy. You would think after spending $$$ for a washer and dryer they would last for longer than 8 years. FYI the dryer has issues too.

I didnt expect a major issue like a motor failure with a top of the line washer from a reputed brand. Software interface is also not very helpful as I couldnt download a custom cycle. Overall a good machine but doesnt handle bigger sized items like comforters.

I bought his machine about 4 months ago and l cannot be happier. This machine is constantly in use by a family of 5 with no issues at all. The only maintenance is to make sure the filter at the bottom left is cleaned out and the door constantly left open to prevent mold around the cover washers

This machine breaks down on a regular basis. The spin cycle is underpowered and cant spin the water out of a queen size quilt. Soap leaks from under the machine-just awful.
