Very Poor Customer service

I called LG since my washer was making a noise when spinning. They walked me through troubleshooting which didnt help. Scheduled a tech. I had to give LG my credit card # since they had to hold $401.00 until after the work was done. Supposedly this would cover everything even if there was a part that had to be bought. Tech came. He only unscrewed the back panel of the washer. He never took out any other tools but the small screwdriver. He troubleshot for about 10 minutes. He couldnt find the problem until he noticed the plastic Bleach container at the top left corner of the machine had dislodged and was on top of the drum of the washer causing the noise. The tech picked up the plastic container and pushed it back into place where it had fallen out of. He screwed the back panel back in place. I had asked if I would still have to pay him the $401.00 that was being held on the credit card. He said he had nothing to do with the payment but suggested that I call the LG number I had originally called to schedule the visit. I called LG as soon as he left. Talked to a very nice rep on the phone who said she thought I would get my full amount of money back. She connected me to another department. This rep was difficult to understand plus he had a bad attitude as soon as he got on the phone with me After I explained what the tech did and asked him if I would have to pay the entire $401.00 he said He fixed the machine didnt he? He only took out one screwdriver to take off the back panel. There was nothing wrong with it except for a small plastic container that had fallen off. He said he was writing a report and send to the techs supervisor. Fine. When would I know? He said he the rep would call me back the next week. Next week came and went. Noone from LG called me Noone called me to explain why I would have to pay $401.00 The next week I looked at my credit card statement and there it was I was charged $401.00. That full amount was charged on my credit card. I could understand if I had to pay for the tech being there but he did not fix any part or have to purchase any part. I am upset that NOONE from LG called to explain to me whay I was charged $401.00 for a plastic container that fell off the machine onto the drum of my washer. I have no problem with the Tech who came out. He was pleasant and kind. I hav3 a problem with NOONE explaining WHY i was charged that enormous amount of money. I am totally disappointed with LG and their lack of communication to the consumer. Will I ever purchase another LG washer or LG product? Probably not because the follow through and respect for the consumer is NOT on their list. Very disappointed

The washer only 8 years old. Already the bleach dispenser is rusted out and the inlet valve messed up. The inlet valve replacement is way too expensive. At over $110. Thats my honest opinion

Had a problem with the spin cycle and the woman that helped us was able to trouble shoot and help fix the problem and saved us money whereas we didnt need to purchase a new washer at the moment.

I bought in 2017 and still love it. Has worked well all of this time. Did have to have a repair once and prayed it wasnt something that would cause me to replace itluckily it wasnt.
