we have had this dryer for a littler over 3 years. right after the 1 year warranty expired, the control board decided to malfunction. now the dryer won't stop spinning, even if you turn off the dryer. the only way to get it to stop spinning after the cycle is complete is to unplug the machine or leave the door open. it wastes a ton of electricity due to this flaw. avoid this dryer!

hi, anyone know how to prevent what we call "bedding burritos" in the dryer? when we put in sheets or quilts or blankets, they end up rolling up into a burrito, and only the outer layers get dry. unroll it and the inside is still wet. every time.

i bought this dryer in mid-2019 and it has had a few major issues since the beginning. the dry-sensing is very inconsistent. the clothes or especially bedding will still be damp most of the time when it says they are done. i resorted to just running manual timed dry, which pretty much defeats the purpose of buying a dryer like this. the other major issue is the steam function. whether using sanitize or wrinkle-release/refresh it will simply soak the clothes. it will steam them until they are drenched and then say it is done. i bought this dryer and the matching washer specifically because i have had good luck with samsung products in the past. this entire experience has been very disappointing.

it didn't even cross my mind that i would not be able to control the temperature setting on a modern dryer. the only way to use those temperature adjust buttons is on time dry. so, basically the censor dry feature is useless if you want to use medium/low or low heat, which is what the care tag says on basically all my clothes. what a major design fail. would have never bought this dryer if i knew that.

a little over a half years use, the machine broke for the first time. a tech came out and claimed the dryer wheels seized up, which was apparently common in these machines. a year into using the dryer, it ended up breaking again. this time it was the heating element. we called up support just to get notified that the machine was now out of warranty. we replaced the heating element twice per their instructions only for it to fail twice. the parts including shipping, cost me around $300. per samsung, they only stand behind their product for one year. learn from my mistake and stay away from this product!

I hate the preset settings on this dryer. You cannot change the temperature. The only way you can pick the temperature is to use timed dry. I might as well have bought a cheap dryer if I can't use the dry sensor. This dryer also stops mid cycle with the vent sensor. I have checked that house is not bent and that it is empty. I am very disappointed in Samsung.

The features on this dryer are exceptional! I like the ability to specify how dry I want the clothes to be (very helpful when wrinkling is a problem), timed drying with various temperatures. Added the base and it puts the door at a perfect height to avoid awkward bending to retrieve clothes.

I'll tell you this. It looks great and has a wonderful jingle at the end. But it doesn't really work that great. The sensor system is not very good at knowing when your clothes are dry. Frequently they need to be touched up for 20-30m for them to be completely dry. Also if you're in a normal mode and the dryer things the clothes are dry it will run for 2-3m and then stop...So you have to use timed dry to complete your clothes. This led to some extreme confusion on my part before I could figure it out. I even asked to have Samsung come look at it and/or fix it and nothing ever came to fruition. While Samsung makes wonderful phones, they should stay out of the appliance business in my opinion.

I purchased the washer & dryer as a pair. The look is impressive, very sleek and it looks like "this is going to make my clothes look amazing". Truth is, the dryer is fine, not great. Biggest issues - on a very dry, medium heat setting - jeans take 2 cycles. Without the wrinkle guard, you better get your clothes out within a minute of the song finishing (by the way, that is the longest alert EVER) or you will be ironing. It does handle larger items like a comforter but just barely. Lastly, it is loud. It's upstairs inside the laundry room and it's easily hear downstairs on the other side of the house.

This is my first brand new dryer(I also got the washer)! I give this a 5 star overall rating because Im just in love with the design ..the color ..all the amazing features and not to mention the value! So far I love the fact that I can have "my cycle" as an option! I can steam and sanitize. I can choose the time on certain cycles and it also comes with an Eco dry button that shortens the drying time! Installing it was a piece a cake the hardest part was attaching the exhaust duct . When i least expected i was washing and drying in minutes! Im just so excited to wash Now! It lso comes with a Smart home adapter port ..so I am looking forward to buying the Smart Home Adapter..with this i will be able to control and monitor my dryer from my cellphone ..how cool is that! Im amazed! Thank you Samsung for Innovation thats marvelous! So far I love my samsung dryer!

The fact that is wifi capable keeps me alert when my cycle has ended . This feature also allows me to conserve energy and work a little faster by adding loads and starting them before I get home. Purchased this as a set with the matching Samsung washer. The dryer does a great job of what it's supposed to do, dry clothes! The larger size allows for more clothes & less time spent having to do more loads in a smaller machine. This machine was an upgrade in technology & size from the previous one. It is well worth the extra money I spent on it rather than buying something a cheaper. You tend to get what you pay for & in this instance, the dryer was definitely worth the price.
