my drier is only 4 years old. the first several years of ownership was great. no issues at all. now that it is out of standard warranty im running into problems. the dryer is noisy, vibrates, and sounds like i will have to replace parts. disappointing when you pay so much for what you believe is quality and proves nothing lasts like it used to.

Faulty Drum - common problem

i've had my dryer only less than 4 years and i noticed it was making an odd squealing noise about a year ago. now it progressed to a loud continuous thumping noise as if i'm drying a dozen shoes inside! i can't even run the dryer at night because it would keep us awake! i'm learning that this is a common problem and it may be due to a split in the welding of the drum so it may not be rolling smoothly. samsung should take accountability for this defect. i've never seen a dryer go down so soon.

just like the reviews before mine my lovely super expensive all-world samsung dryer is making noise like theres body parts inside. turns out after paying for a diagnostic that the rollers, pulley and belt all need to be replaced and of course its conveniently out of warranty. getting quotes to fix that are ranging from $250-$600 with parts. samsung might as well slap everyone in the face and put a kick me sticker on their back for buying this dryer that seems to fail everyone on years 2-3.

I've had this for around 3 months and its working great. The only issue I have is this device is listed as having WiFi connectivity. I do NOT have a Smart Things Adapter nor does it state on the web site you need one unless of coarse I missed it. All my other Samsung products have connected fine. They should change this so it states it needs the Adapter to connect. Sorry if I missed something.

Great features if your drum is not defective!

I bought this 16 months ago and it has been working great so far. Very happy that Samsung agreed to replace the defective dryer drum during the 14th month even though it was out of warranty because they had so many defects with the drum from many many customers. So overall I am happy for now, assuming the new drum does not fail in about another year, that is! Fingers crossed.

Purchased this dryer to match the Samsung 5.0 cu. ft. AddWash Front Loader Washer. Absolutely love the black stainless steel color option. Dries very fast and has more options than I will probably ever use, but great to have in the event they are needed. Installation and set-up were very easy and the instructions were easy to understand. Very attractive looking appliance. Our daughter and son-in-law purchased a similar model a couple of months back and they absolutely love theirs especially with a newborn baby onboard. Our son is getting ready to leave the nest and we are considering the purchase of the same make and model dryer to get him started and one that he can rely on.

Having issues 2 months old!

Already having dryer serviced after 2 different episodes of a motorized or cranking like noise coming from dryer. This dyer was not overloaded or over used! We purchased the dryer in December 2016 but it was delivered New Years Eve due to back order issues, so we started having this issue about 4 weeks after it was delivered. Does it about a day, then goes away and starts drying clothes again. Frustrating for a new machine! MAY I ADD, the steam feature is misleading. Leaves clothes soaking wet! We did video tape our noise issues each time it occurred.

The Samsung Dryer looks great! The only problem encountered, is the fact that the dryer does not have enough heat to dry the clothes enough. It has a mind of it's own to turn off, even before the clothes are dry! I've tried all the settings, but still the dryer does not dry the clothes entirely.

Excellent machine! Fits nicely into a spot that housed an early 90's Kenmore dryer, with room to spare. Although it fits the room better, the actual capacity exceeds my old dryer. Had this for over a month and still don't like it. I've had dryers down thru the years that worked a lot better. The sensor function don't work correctly. We can NEVER get our clothes dry by using the sensor. They're always damp. Paid good money for a mediocre dryer. Trusted the Samsung reputation and lost. The lint screen is extremely difficult to clean. The buttons on the control panel are very hard to push. The one good point, it's pretty.

I've actually been enjoying doing laundry since I got my new washer and dryer! They're so very quiet (compared to my old ones, especially) and efficient, if it weren't for the bell at the end of the cycle I would forget I had them running. The multiple settings make it easy to figure out what to set the load on, and all my clothes and bedding come out smelling so much better than before. I'm actually going around and washing my curtains now, just for an excuse to use the new appliances. These are great, definitely one of the best purchases I've made for my new home. The only recommendation I'd make is to spend the extra and get the pedestals as they do sit a little low to the ground if you're tall like me.

My dryer broke and I was ready for something more modern. When I researched dryer, tho one was it. Although I couldn't get a demonstration in the store, the dryer lived up to all the positive reviews I saw online. I absolutely love how quickly it dries, and I am happy to save on dry cleaning. To top it off, my daughter loves the musical tones it plays at the end of the cycle opposed to the loud buzzer from my old dryer.

I love the features of the dryer

I like that it has different settings based on the fabric of the items being washed. My favorite feature is the wrinkle free setting. My iron is now in storage.

Technology is great. Need help menu for technology challenged. Nice and large inside. Nice front controls. Wish end of cycle signal was louder. The machine is so quiet. Hoping Smart Home will help notify when finished. Expensive but, worth it.

Enjoying my new dryer!

So far so good. I wish the temperature selections had more variability in the sensor cycles. (i.e. I would like normal low or eco normal to be at low instead of medium/extra low. Other than that I think the vent check feature is awesome and the product is way quieter than the last one I owned.

This dryer is amazing! Has a large drum and dries an enormous load of laundry with ease in no time! I also love the fact that it doesn't make that extremely annoying beep when finished, it actually plays a little tune!
