Pretty good dryer but a few issues

this is a pretty good dryer, albeit quite expensive. my biggest gripe with it is that the sensor often ends the cycle before the clothes/bed sheets are fully dry, requiring that we re-run the cycle a few times to get all the clothes dried up. the other issue is that the lint filter is fragile, and has broken on us after less than 2 years, requiring buying a new one ($60). that is a bit of a let down if the lint filter will need to be replaced every 2 years or so.

Do not buy if you plan to stack with a washer!

I just received this unit with a washer and bought the stacking kit. The controls tilt out and up, and when used as a stackable unit they are impossible to see for my wife and I(5'10" and 5'2"). I do not know how this passed quality control? Are they seven foot tall?

Good dryer, not great...

We bought this dryer to go with the matching washer. It is a good dryer, but we were also disappointed with it, especially since it cost so much more than our previous dryer. 1. Clothes come out more wrinkled than our previous cheap dryer. 2. The steam function is disappointing...the dryer shpritzes water at everything and then depends on the heat to dry up the water and create "steam"---if you open up the dryer, you wont actually see steam, and I think this feature is misleading. Actual steam I think would be more effective. 3. Often the "sensor" will misjudge if the clothing is completely dry and shut off while it is still a little wet. Overall we like the look (the black stainless steel is really nice) so we are glad we got the matching pair, but given the price, I think the technology could have been a bit better.

I love the new features on my Samsung dryer, I've finally gotten rid of my parents old hunk of junk. The stream function is probably the best thing about this upgrade! It's not whisper quite it still sounds like a dryer. But it's not overly intrusive.

Too Tall!

I'm sure the performance of these machines is great. But, We bought this as a stacking pair with the washer. No one bothered to tell us that stacking the dryer on the washer puts the dryer so high, that it is impossible to read the controls, unless you're 6'-4" or taller. We have limited space so the machines are going back to Best Buy.
