Steamy, in a bad way

On first use, water pooled on the floor. Tried adjusting settings, load size, etc, thinking this was user error. Water continues to pool on the floor, water comes out the knob, and comes out the seams/edges. After a few more loads with problem solving, hot steam comes out the back vent (intake?) and soaks my walls. Paint is now peeling, walls soft to touch. I'm at 5 weeks of ownership and already feel exhausted. Nice perk is it connects to SmartThings, but hardly makes up for the headache and damage. Oh, and it looks nice.

I hate this dryer

i was excited to get a new washer and dryer and the dryer is more than disappointing. it shuts off long before things are dry. it leaves clothes wrinkled and the steam functions are worthless. don't bother with the smart functions either because you have to be standing by the washer and dryer to use them which defeats the purpose. very unhappy and now stuck with this piece of junk!

One flaw

Overall the dryer works well. However, I have noticed that sometimes the dryer will stop before the clothes are dry. It usually happens with a smaller load, where the dryer will stop after 5mins of drying. If I wasn't using the smart wifi function I probably wouldn't have figured it out. So I use manual settings for small loads.

Good design and featurrs

I bought this about 6 months ago when my previous unit died. I have been extremely happy with drying performance. It has features not on my previous dryer that I was not expecting to have much appeal to me but have found I was wrong. The dryer alert on my phone is great. It reminds me the cycle has completed wherever I am so I can attend to removing items before wrinkling. The wrinkle avoidance cycle is great as well. Small things like the lint catcher that actually seems to capture all the lint and has a high capacity is a great upgrade from the previous unit. The steam sanitizer cycle is a welcome upgrade as well.

Broke on day 13

new dryer installed by samsung on nov 10 th 2020. on nov 23rd, i called samsung to schedule a repair on my 13 day old dryer. loud grinding metal scraping sound and a smokey smell when the drum is empty. i called customer service nov 23rd for repair. nov 27th the company techno tv did not show, i called to schedule a new repair with rr appliance, they did not call or show on dec 1st, i called again and now have lake electronics assigned to come dec 10. i will go 19 days without the use of a brand new dryer.

I the washer and dryer because the previous ones made wash day extremely long and tedious. The dryer's drum is bigger than the washer, and I think that allows for faster drying of the loads. The only critique I have is that I can't control the machines remotely unless turning on the smart control on the machine first. I was in a rush and ran out the house one day, completely forgetting to start the dryer. I immediately thought of starting the dryer while I was on the road but couldn't. Doesn't make sense to have a smart appliance if I can't use the smart features when needed.

This is the first dryer my wife and I had to personally purchase, as we lived in apartments where it was already provided. Honestly I love this product and would highly recommend it. It looks really slick and clean, has a *huge* drum, and really cool features (like steam). One of the parts I really like about it is the integration into SmartThings. So when the cycle finishes I have it so it flashes my accent lights in my living room and I also get a notification on my phone. (No more forgotten loads being left)

I bought this about 6 months ago now and have been very pleased with it. The quality they put into it, amount of features and options, and the overall effectiveness of the dryer is fantastic. I am very pleased with this purchase, and as always Samsung's product. The only disappointment I have with the dryer is, if you have heavier linens (i.e. jeans, comforters, ect...) the dryer becomes inconsistent in drying them the first time through and maybe have to be extended by about 30mins.

I purchased my dryer as a set. Thebdry takes a long time to dry clothes in certain settings. It also tend to snag my clothes on the filter area. Other than that I enjoy it. Be sure to clean the filter after each use and check it before each use. It definitely collects alot of lint.

this is my first review ever in life. i do not even know how the dryer is. limited by 800 characters. xpo logistics have made my life miserable. 2 weeks after delivery window, still no working dryer installed. why are you even considering samsung? xpo is their installer and they have 0 professionalism. delayed initial delivery despite sitting in their hub for 7 days, screwed up 1st dryer, got new dryer which they again did not install properly. if i had an option i would cancel this but at this point i am stuck cuz anything new will take another few weeks.

Received malfunctioning machine TWICE

ordered washer and dryer set from here. washer seems to be working fine. but when we got the dryer the first time, the front part had a dent and it didnt work when they installed. so they told us they will send technician to check it. when the technician came and checked- he said it's broke and company will send us new unit. two weeks later (so today) we got our new dryer and now it makes rattling noise. so they are going to send another techician to check on it. how can we be having issue with a new washer not once but twice even? we chose this brand because we trusted the brand. but now i'm not sure. so disappointed. if we are already having issues with it right after it gets installed- how do i know that it's not going to break down soon?

i really have no complaints about these appliances other than i wish the smart control could work better with thr manual controls. i'd like to be able to initially program the units from the panel, then still be able to fully control by smart control from my phone afterwards. but really an inconvenience more than anything. the design of both is simple, yet elegant. the color (i have the black versions) is beautiful. the controls from both the unit's panels and smartthings is easy and intuitive. and i've had no issues with functionality. if having to push one button (and a guided walkthrough in the app) by yourself is the reason you give a poor review, please stick to washbasins and clotheslines in the yard (replying to a poor, prior review).

Best dryer I have ever used

Our old Samsung dryer had just quit working and we were in the market for a new one. We secured this dryer as a store return because someone had ordered the wrong color online and returned it in store from Lowe's. It is perfect! We bought the matching washer for it as well. The pair are perfect. I have definitely seen an improvement in how clean our clothes are and also a decrease in the time they spend drying. I love the sanitize and steam option when washing our dogs blankets and our bedding. The quick dry cycle is amazing when i forgot to do a load and need an outfit dried in 20 minutes so I can walk out the door. And the refresh cycle uses steam to release wrinkles in shirts I was too lazy to iron before. As an added bonus, the entire set is quiet, and unless you hear the alarm for the end of the cycle, we do not hear them at all. Our old samsumg set was a lot louder. I have caught myself at times running back there thinking I forgot to hit the start button just to find the cycle is over halfway finished.
