i purchased this dishwasher for years ago and after two years, of sporadic use, because i don't always use the dishwasher, it seems that the seal at the front bottom leaks. i have not called samsung because i refuse to pay for a repair tech to come out here and charge me hundreds of dollars to replace a seal that should last more than two years. i've purchased a samsung products in the past and i will never purchase another.

this dishwasher came with our renovated house when we bought it in 2019 and even with light use has begun to leak every time we wash dishes. no one in close proximity to our home repairs samsung because parts are hard to come by, so the cost for someone to come out before the additional parts and labor is cost prohibitive. replacing it with a different brand.

worst dishwasher i've ever used. broke down multiple times during the 1st year, & was abnormally finicky. dishes, & containers had to be strategically placed, or they would not come out clean. and, forget about putting pots in this thing. also stopped frequently, & lights would flash. then i'd have to figure out what the problem was. i began to just turn it on & off hourly until it ran. because of my experience i did not replace this dishwasher with another samsung.

i bought an entire kitchen set - stove, dishwasher and refrigerator in 2017. this week the glass top on the stove cracked while washing it (literally just washing it), and then this dishwasher's door stopped locking. both out of warranty and samsung refuses to provide any support, but they are only 3 years old. very disappointed that these items both broke on the same week, and only lasted 3 years in service, and my only option is to buy a whole new set. they look wonderful, but save your money and buy a better brand. they don't last very long and samsung doesn't stand behind its product.

This dishwasher started faulting shortly after the year warranty expired. It hasn't run a full cycle in a couple years. When we looked up how to fix our problems, it seems we are not alone. We have replaced multiple parts. We have called Samsung support and they are no help. We bought the Samsung suite for our kitchen. Our other appliances have been fine, but would not purchase Samsung again due to so many issues. We are done putting time and money into a newer appliance. This will be going to the dump... Don't buy!!!!

I agree with all the one star reviews. The draining and sensor system cause the dishwasher to smell if not run frequently. The sensors cause false alarms and will not allow the dishwasher to run a cycle.

But by the Third use it was leaving food and other debis In bowls and glass ware. So tired of having to rewash these by hand after washing them in this dishwasher. We purchased this a little over a year ago and struggled to get dishes clean. It doesn't clean the dishes well at all and they are always very wet when the cycle finishes. We have to hand dry everything that comes out of the washer or let them sit in a dish rack on the counter before we put them away. The dishwasher has not stopped working and I need to call a repair person to come out. I purchased a dishwasher 3 years prior in a different home for less money that would clean circles around this one and it never once had a problem. As other reviews have noted, I will never buy a Samsung product again. TV's are junk and so are their kitchen appliances.

Bought this new I n 11/2013, in 11/2014 the sensor and PCB main board went bad. Fortunately I had the Geek Squad warranty, and it was replaced free of charge. Almost 2 years later, and the SMART AUTO light is blinking. At first, it would run for 20 minutes and stop. Now it won't even load water or run for 3 minutes, until it shuts off. Unfortunately, my warranty ran out. I will eventually buy another dishwasher, but it will NOT be a Samsung.

This dishwasher is the worst, it does NOT wash dishes and that is the plain and simple fact. I've rinsed dishes well prior to washing and they still come out disgusting. Even simple glasses of water come out with basic lip marks (not lipstick) and have dirty water and small food particles from other pieces smeared all over the glass. <-- A simple glass used for water comes out dirtier than it went it. Coffee cup anywhere on top rack looks like neither water nor soap even reaches it, and silverware in any spot of holder has weird dirty markings that i have to re-wipe and clean with basic handwashing/sponge. There aren't many button options to begin with so its not a challenging dishwasher to use, and i've tried multiple different detergents, followed the few recommendations in the manual of what to use, kept the rinse aid filled etc. Waste of money, i have to hand wash all the dishes after they come out.

we purchased an entire samsung kitchen from best buy. the dishwasher has leaked since the installation. look on the web, multiple people are having problems with this model. we own apartments and i usually put our appliances in our apartments when we upgrade. not samsung, to many headaches and potential water damage. had a problem with the range a week after the install the stove top went first, they finally replaced with a less expensive less options model. good luck.

Wanted this dishwasher because our large dinner plates fit nicely. But was hesitant to buy this brand because of so many bad reviews online. Now, after nine months use, running a load twice a day, it works like new. The only thing I don't like about this and other energy saving modern dishwashers is the fact that they save electricity by not really drying the dishes. Rinse agent is nowhere near a substitute for heated drying.

Whlie I LOVE my Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung TV's........This dishwasher is the BIGGEST PIECE OF JUNK EVER. We bought it to match our Samsung fridge (which seems to be working fine). Unfortunately, this dishwasher doesn't. Even when it was running without problems, it didn't clean very well at all. If you didn't completely wash everything first, they came out dirty still. Even after trying many different detergents. Now I have had to have a repair guy over three times in the past 12 months. It keeps having drain error problems, and had to replace the control board, and the overflow sensor. I have spent almost as much money on repairing this piece of junk as I did buying it.

If Youre Getting "Heavy" and "Smart Auto" on "01" Model

I truly hope this post helps someone because I have done a lot of research on this issue regarding the "01" model and have not seen this fix posted yet - but SURELY someone has this same issue. My dishwasher has been giving me the "Heavy" and "Smart Auto" flashing lights on and off for about a month now until it finally would not get through the first wash without stopping. Everyone and their mother online says its an overflow issue and to replace the ECS Sensor, Main PCB and Case Brake assembly - DON'T! First of all, the "01" model does not have an ECS sensor, it has a thermistor so don't waste your time. Secondly, the repair manual clearly states that on the "01" model, the "Heavy" and "Smart Auto" lights flashing is an indicator of a DRAIN issue - not an overflow issue! HERES THE FIX (it fixed mine anyway) - There is a small black rubber piece called a "Drain Check Valve" and it is installed backwards from the factory! Unscrew the bottom cover inside the dishwasher and thats where you will find this piece, towards the back. Use a flathead screwdriver to lift it up out of its holder, TURN IT AROUND, and reinstall everything. After completing this, my dishwasher has been running with no problem. There is a video available from Repair Clinic on how this piece should be installed. It is IMPORTANT to put the beveled edge in the right way. Good luck and again, I hope this helps someone out there!

Bought this to replace different brand, disappointed it doesn't have a separate drying cycle after running the inside of the dishwasher is still wet which worries me about mold. Back in May of 2014 my husband and I replaced all of our appliances in our home with samsung appliances. Since the beginning of this year I have had a recall on my washer, my ice maker replaced on my refrigerator (thank god for the extended warranty we purchased due to the cost of the refrigerator.) Now here it is my Samsung dw80f600uts Dishwasher has decided it now does not want to work, the cost to have it repaired is totally ridiculous. It is not like I have a large family and it gets used extensively it is just my husband and myself. But let me tell you we have purchased Samsung many times over the years and never had problems, but now we are having nothing but problems with these appliances, I am just hoping my microwave and stove don't go. If it does I will be purchasing an appliance package from a completely different maker.

If you could carry a dishwasher on a plane, this lemon would make the news and Samsung would make an effort to right their wrongs. Within 6 months to 1 year of purchase, you get error codes out the wazzoo and their is no remedy if you are just out of warranty. This is an over-engineered appliance. With luck, everyone who bought this will get a whopping $5 back from the class-action suit that is bound to occur eventually.

We purchased all Samsung appliances , within 2 years all have had major system problems . Do not buy Samsung appliances unless you have the money to replace them within 2 years of purchase

I have owned this dishwasher for many years and have had to pull it out and replace the same sensor 4 times. So the day before I decided I was going to jerk the thing out of the kitchen and set it roadside for the scrappers to pick it up. I opened it up and it smelled to high heaven since it hadn't ran in a few days so I filled up the bottom of the tub with about a gallon of water (with a spray wand) and about a cup in a half of bleach and let it sit for 24 hours, after the 24 hours was up I started a normal cycle and it has ran perfectly ever since. The tub is cleaner than it has ever been and the dishes are spotless. Hopefully this serves useful with someone having the same problem.

Takes 3-4 hours to complete a wash. Dishes have to be checked for food particles after each wash. I would not recommend any Samsung dish washers after experiencing this model. We have been using for several months and if I could afford it I would buy another and trash this one.

The dishes come out clean so I am happy with that. However it is a little louder than I would like but I guess I didn't pay to much attention to the decimals when I bought it. My fault, and it's not obnoxiously loud, I just prefer to have 0 noise. I do not like that there is no pause I can not open and add an item without restarting. If I can I have not figured it out. so you just have to make sure you have everything in there when you hit start. I would recommend this to a friend maybe the next one up from this if it has the other features. I was in a hurry to buy my appliances due to a house fire and contractors and all that fun stuff was not much into picking out products like if I was doing a redo. I do know I did want Samsung products though.
