We have had this dishwasher for over a year and it is awful! We kept thinking there was something stuck or we weren't putting the dishes in right but no! You can't load up a full dishwasher and you have to lay everything flat on the bottom and put your large pans up top and even then the stupid doesn't get your dishes clean! Too bad we tried so long to get it to work that it is past warranty.

DISHES FALL OFF RACKS ALL THE TIME WHEN OPENING

This is the worst dishwasher I have owned in over 38 years. When pulling out the middle dish rack the suction cup held it in so tightly against the back wall that my dishes go flying off the racks and I have to re-rack them. Samsung replaced the rack to no avail. I thought maybe over time - it is now almost a year installed - that it would loosen up. It has to a very small degree but dishes still fly all over. Very frustrating to have to re-rack dishes every time you open the dishwasher up. Bottom rack is poorly designed. Dishes don't stand up correctly. They lean over making it hard to rack a plate with out having to push the loaded ones out of the way. I think I will have to take the time to bend each rack stick individually so they will stay up correctly. Due to the price of this dishwasher I'm afraid I'll have to keep it for a while and silently curse under my breath every time I open it. Only good thing I can say is that it is extremely quiet.

We were won over by the reviews that promised a quiet dishwasher. Yes, it is quiet, but that seems to be because it doesn't do anything. In a typical cycle 20-30% of the dishes have to be hand washed after I take them out the machine. Particularly dishes in the lower rack which never seem to get clean. We've tried different detergents, etc and they all produce the same results. The cheap dishwasher that this replaced cleaned 10x better than this dishwasher. We are contemplating pulling it out and throwing it away (even though it functions) because the performance is horrible.

DO NOT BUY!!! Saw all the cool features and was thoroughly impressed. Took it home and and installed it. Ran 1st wash without issues. 2nd wash was when the trouble started. LE error code, indicating that there is a leak. I checked and there is no water in the bottom of the washer. Checked drain hose and it was clear. I spent more time than I should have. Pain in the butt out of the box.

I have only used the dishwasher a couple of times but I agreed with all of the other reviews overall. However, I believe that Samsung could improve the installation and owners manual. I hated the clips on the side of the dishwasher that you use to mount the dishwasher to the sides of the cabinets. The clips kept falling off as you moved the washer into position. Poor design! Other companies design lets you attach without having to use the clips. Also, the user manual should be clearer with better examples for the use of the controls. Perhaps some color pictures to show what happens when you push various buttons. But so far it seems a pretty nice dishwasher!

This dishwasher is very quiet and hard to tell if it is running which we love for the most part. It would be nice to have something other than the light in the handle are telling one if the washer is running or not. The chimes are very quiet and unless you are directly near the dishwasher you wouldn't know if was done or not except for the light being off in the handle area. Having to remove the third rack if tall items are in the lower rack when the second rack is raised posses an issue of where to place the rack when removed from the dishwasher until it can be placed back in. It would be nice to have an external handle on the front to hang towels onto but the design ties the handle design of the fridge into the kitchen and the other appliances.

New Version Dishwashers Don't Dry

Cons: Most new dishwashers do not dry in the same manner as the old ones. Therefore, it holds water on dishes and in the dishwasher itself, which causes a musty smell if left for too long. Best to open the dishwasher after the cycle to allow the air to flow and dry inside of the dishwasher so not to get the smell to linger. Also, the stems on the holders are not all long like in old dishwasher styles, so takes some getting used to how to load it differently so dishes do not rattle. Main cycle wash is lengthy (it has a shorter 60 min cycle available option), but it's not like I wash multiple loads in the dishwasher in one day anyway - so this is not a big deal to me. Pros: This dishwasher is in an open floor plan living/dining/kitchen and it's QUIET!!! My coffee maker is louder than the dishwasher! If sound and cleaning power is your sole buying preference - this is the dishwasher for you!

This is a new addition to my kitchen. I have owned a kitchen aide dishwasher for 21 years and when it stop cleaning good I felt it was time for a new one. After looking at several models the Samsung won me over! I have only had it for a short period of time but I am very impressed with its productivity. It cleans very well, no spots or stains left on anything. My dishes, pots-n-pans, glasses & silverware sparkle like new! I have to put my ear to it to be sure it is running, it is so quiet. Other washer I owned use to scare our dog out of the kitchen. This one She can sit in front of and not hear a thing. Thank you for designing the perfect machine. The only thing missing is someone to load it for me.

I've had the dishwasher for one month now and I have no complaints. The install is not difficult assuming you have a basic understanding of electrical boxes and hooking up hoses with clamps. The dishwasher works as described and I have been pleased with the cleaning results, even with more than moderate grime on dishes. The unit is extraordinarily quiet and my wife had to check to make sure it is running on the first load. The 3rd tray is excellently designed and a great upgrade over the traditional 2 tray design. The waterwall technology seems to provide an extra boost of cleaning power, though it is hard to judge against newer models with the traditional rotary wash. The only complaint I have is that you have to look at the control panel on the lid to determine the time remaining for a wash. For the price, it would be nice to have a hidden interface that lights up upon touch similar to the next model up, but I am not willing to put down another few hundred just for that feature...seems this model is high end enough that it should have it.

Very ingenious design. Do away of the revolving spray arm for the main tray. Stainless steel is very smooth. Operation is little confusing in the beginning as it is hard to change cycles. Another annoying feature is every time you open the door during a cycle, one has to hit the start button again. On the plus side, this is by far the quietest unit we own. Much better the German made units.

I've had my new dishwasher for a week now and am totally wowed by the cleaning, drying, silence, and loading ability of it. When I went to make my purchase, I didn't have this brand on my list, but the salesman heard me comparing machine A to machine B and discussing what options wouldn't be present on each machine. I'd concluded that a dishwasher that does everything I want doesn't exist. He told me I didn't have to compromise and showed me the Samsung. He's right! I can have heated dry or condensation drying, so my crystal, china, and silver can go in the machine. Nothing needs to be rinsed; my pots and pans can go in the machine and come out CLEAN (even without zone booster or heavy cycle). I have that essential third shelf and can raise and lower tines on the bottom shelf to fit in everything. Tall/wine glasses fit easily and are well-supported. Plastic containers come out clean and not warped. Everything but wood or Grohl bottles goes in the machine, so no more hand washing. Even when the machine is scouring a bacon-dripping coated pan, I can barely hear it in the same room. My only non-positive remark - the middle shelf requires a little jerk to get it to slide out, making the dishes/glasses clang together. Not a huge problem, but remarkable that the engineers didn't get this right even though they got so many other things right. Would I buy it again or go with one of the others I was considering? I'd definitely get this dishwasher again.

We purchased this SAMSUNG dishwasher to replace a different model SAMSUNG dishwasher that had the pump go out just 6 months after purchasing it. We were a little aprehensive to purchase another SAMSUNG model, but with the rest of appliances in our newly remodeled kitchen being SAMSUNG we decided to give it another shot. I love this dishwasher. Super quiet, always cleans well. I use the automatic setting all the time. Love the upper tray so I can lie flat utensils that are too big for the silverware basket flat. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the silverware slotted lids. I just don't use them. This is the best dishwasher I have every owned.

This dishwasher is terrible. It is hard to load...even though the racks are adjustable, nothing fits and plates, bowls etc fall over. It also doesn't clean. Over and over, there are dishes that appear not to be touched, so frustrating! And keep in mind, I'm not overloading it because only a few dishes actually fit! Also, there's a nasty smell always coming from the dishwasher and it's ruining anything that is clear plastic because it turns it orange. Hate this dishwasher. So disappointed that we spent so much money on it.

We like our Samsung dishwasher because it is extremely quiet and efficient. The downside to this dishwasher is the top rack designed for utensils. For us it has very little functional use and takes up space we would have preferred be used in the rest of the dishwasher. Also the tines on the lowest rack are not tall enough to keep medium to heavy plates upright, they fall over into one another which is very annoying. I wish I had known these things and would have possibly researched a better option.

So of course I bought it. I am soooo happy! It cleans so much better than my Thermador that I just replaced. I know newer dishwashers don't dry like they used to because of energy efficiency so no matter what you buy you'll have that problem. I think how clean something comes out is most important!! Looks beautiful. I am on my 3rd dishwasher as the two precious were defective. Have only had this one a week and I find it washes dishes great if you wash them before you load them. I have put my knives that I have been washing for years in the utensil rack and now my knives have rust on them every time I wash them. Have to get the SOS pad out and clean the knives. If it doesn't start doing better soon, I will be getting this one replaced.

I spent too serious extra money to get the Samsung product all others products I have yours was great. this one I am completely disappointed they do not dry the dishes and it takes so long to wash it is very quiet but that's all that is good about this product I have taken this dishwasher out and put back to cheaper model I had before and they dry perfect.
