dishwasher won't power up, no response from control
i have 10y warranty from plessers, doesn't help
after less than 3 years from purchasing, used only a couple of times now is dead
last time used ok dec 2020, i did not tried to use it after that time
i tried everything, power source ok
could be a defective control panel
i consider this a defective part that samsung should fix free of charge, to keep reputation
i do expect samsung to issue a onetime free accommodation for this major basic defect

if i could have chosen zero stars i woudl have. the leak sensor has been replaced multiple times. the part is obviously faulty, and samsung wants me to pay for the replacement because its 15 days out of warranty. the customer service was fine until you reach the contract service provider. they were rude, abrasive, unhelpful and wouldnt even answer the most basic questions. additionally the top rack broke in the second month, the inside is supposedly rust proof. mine has plenty of rust. the bottom rack broke in year 1 and i cannot stress enough. do not buy this. i have never regreted an appliance purchase so much. it was a giant waste of money and all i want is my leak sensor fixed again without charge or hassel.

we bought this dishwasher in 2016. the rep at best buy talked us into buying this instead of the bosh we wanted: boy was that a mistake! just months after we got it, the drip plate started filling up with water causing the dishwasher to stop working. in order to fix it we had to put it on its side, drain the water, dry the tray and plug it back in. we have to do this every 3-4 months. in addition to this, it does not dry properly, emits a foul smell, and occasionally stop draining the water. as soon as the warranty expired the take-in valve failed, too! this is the second samsung product that lets me down. the other is the gas range nx58h9500ws/aa: the oven's igniter had to be replaced twice! never buying samsung again.

this is the worst dishwasher ever. while the storm wash is nice, everything else is bad. i've had it a while and done everything that i can, and what is suggested here and other places to no avail. it leaves particles on everything and has since day one, even after multiple cycles with the same dishes. the bottom seal is already curled up and holds water and particles too. i hate to have to replace a fairly new dishwasher, but i going shopping for another brand.

i have been an evangelist for samsung's galaxy phones for as long as i can remember. that being said, i cannot say i have the same enthusiasm for this dishwasher or appliances in general.
you do need to pre-rinse, it will break after a few years, and you will need to pay some 800 dollars if our of warranty for service and "labor"
my neighbor has the same dishwasher theirs broke, my friends have samsung refrigerators and regret ever branching out of samsung mobile devices.
advice to upper management, take a precious minute of your time to value what your customs are saying about this dishwasher. make improvements, or drop the product. you are tarnishing your brand and failing to expand customer loyalty across different product lines.

Been using mine for about a year now. It quietly gets everything clean no matter how dried and crusty the dishes are! Even a petrified ramen bowel comes out clean. I never rinse anymore; just bang out the loose stuff and the "Auto" setting decides for me.
The layout takes getting used to and it's not perfect but since it saves so much water, you don't have to pack the thing perfectly full anymore before you wash a load. I wash a load nearly every day now.
I wish the exterior were easier to remove the water spots off of like the fridges and stoves but small price to pay for a dishwasher that actually does the work.

After 2 years of use i noticed some light rusting on the racks. I ignored it as long as i could until actual chunks of rust started falling off after washes. The washer is quiet and cleans fine.

We've had this unit for three years. Two repairmen, countless months, and incessant bickering is all this dishwasher has brought us. Repairmen did nothing except charge service fees. Nothing fixed.
I'll be replacing the water pump on it in the coming weeks in hopes that this rectifies the issue.
I'm through with Samsung appliances.

This dishwasher has already had the control panel repaired once by Samsung and now the dishwasher intermittently isn't working again.
I called Samsung to let them know about the problem and they told me that there was nothing they could do for me. After going back and forth they said that they would pay for the labor to have it fixed but I would have to pay for the parts.
I asked for a discount on a replacement so I didn't have to keep putting money into a defective unit but they said that they wouldn't be able to do that.
If you want a dishwasher that keeps breaking then this one is for you.

I purchased this a little over a year ago. Love that it rarely leaves something dirty. I think that is on the human for not rinsing items like cereal that is a flake.
Only issue I found is the times. They are on a angle and make it harder to place items in the dishwasher.

in the spring of 2019 the control board on the dishwasher broke and the dishwasher wouldn't work. after some research i found that it was a known issue and i called samsung about it. they offered to replace the control panel as long as i would pay the labor.
last week the control panel again stopped working. i called samsung, spoke with an agent named joseph who said that they would replace it again because of the known issue. he set an appointment for the repair and when i called to confirm the appointment i was told that they would not pay for the repair, despite the fact that they already offered to pay for it. they claimed that the representative that i spoke with must have been new and that they could not honor what he told me.

brand new samsung stormwash dishwasher does not clean my dishes, would not recommend. even when set to hi-temp storm wash setting, dishes come out greasy and have food and soap residue. i've tried 3 kinds of soap, did not help. when it opens at the end of the cycle, no steam comes out and nothing feels warm. it is under warranty and i requested service, a technician came, and said the dishwasher functions, this brand doesn't heat much, and he told me to adjust the settings on my hot water heater. i did that, and it still does not work. i get hot water everywhere else in the house. i am still hand washing my dishes because the dishwasher doesn't clean them. will not buy samsung again.

when we first got the unit we really liked it, the design and noise level were good. however, like many other reviewers we started having trouble with the unit at a little over 1 year. it started with lc codes intermittently (usually occurring from the sanitize cycle), then it just stopped cleaning. no additional codes indicating a specific component failure but not enough water is being pumped to spin the arms. so now we face paying about 40% of the cost of a new unit to (maybe) repair it or just scrap it altogether.

there is no dry function. it opens "air dry" 24 hours w/ rinse aid all of the baby bottles are still wet! this can cause mold, mildew etc! plastics never ever dry! it is false advertising

I bought this dishwasher in Oct. 2018. This dishes are wet when the cycle is done, I have to rinse them again to get all of the soap off of them. Now it showed a lock on the control panel and would not start. I had to take it off of the sanitary mode for it to work. I will never buy a Samsung again.

I purchased the dishwasher with the hope of renovating my kitchen and installing it. It took longer than i wanted to finish the kitchen, and i just finally installed the dishwasher the other day. The first time i ran the thing, it didnt work. Its been sitting in a box for a year, and of course now the warranty is up and we have a service person coming for $175. From the looks of other reviews, it might just be worth buying a new one, and not worrying about having the service person come 5 times. The problem i had was the cycle would start, but then the touch pad would be unresponsive. I open the door and cannot turn it off. Flip the breaker off and back on and now no power to the unit, no response from the buttons, no lights. I go to push on the door and all of a sudden the cycle starts back up again. Very dissapointed. How many bad reviews before they issue a recall??

I purchased this unit from Costco less than two years ago due to a couple of features that seemed great, including the Auto Door opener for faster drying and the Storm Wash. Unfortunately, those features aren't enough to overcome the horrible craftsmanship of this product. Within the first few months, the unit started leaking from underneath. After two separate attempts and a dented door, they finally got the leak fixed but denied they dented the door and wouldn't replace it. A few months later, the drain pump failed making loud noises every time it turned on. Another couple of visits to diagnose and order parts and they finally got the pump replaced. Now the dish racks are rusting through and all the plastic tabs on the moveable arms of the upper and lower racks keep coming off and getting stuck in the drain filter. Another call and another service appointment. However, now they are warning if it's not a manufacturer defect they will charge me for the visit. Ridiculous! If they can't manufacture a dishwasher that can't last two years they should take it off the market. My last washer made it 12-years without a single problem until the end. Total garbage and worse customer service.

Bought this to replace the builder installed unit. Amazingly quiet compared to our old dishwasher from the start, comparing new to new, does a great job of cleaning dishes, I don't have to clean them again after removing them and the 3rd rack, not sure how we lived without it before.

We bought this dishwasher plus a stove, refrigerator, and microwave brand new from Samsung. After a little under two years, the dishwasher has stopped working. It will run through its cycles but will not pump water out when finished. I have put a new hose on and it still does not pump out the water when finished with its cycle. My guess is the water evac pump has went out, this should not happen with such an expensive dishwasher after only two years.

I bought 4 Samsung Appliances. The rest I am pleased with. But this dishwasher...
Pros: Silent, looks good from the outside, has top rack. Was easy to install.
Cons: It leaves a residue. And if you don't do your dishes everyday, the odor stinks. I have tried sanitize cycle and a day later the odor stinks. I have tried pods, liquid, and powder. Does not get the dishes clean.

Purchased this appliance barely 6 months ago, I stared noticing that my dishes weren't getting washed the way it used to. I see debris on my dishes, especially the utensils on the very top rack. I called samsung to set up a repair since we are still under warranty. The repair tech came, did some testing and came to a coclusion that there isnt something wrong with my dishwasher, while in the meantime I have to rewash dishes after a wash cycle. My husaband and I made a decision not to ever buy another samsum product as this isnt the only product that we are having issues with. We will also make sure to warn our friends and relatives before purchasing samsung products, what a dissappointment.

I had this dishwasher for less than a year and within the first four months it had to be taken out and the pump had to be drained. Which isn't that big of a deal. At eight months the buttons completely stopped working, had a Specialist come and look at it and told me the circuit board was shot and would cost me $400 to fix it. Not happy that I spent $699 on a dishwasher that didn't even last a year. Would NOT recommend buying a Samsung dishwasher. Ever.

Auto release door is not for people with small kids or that dont want to heat up the the kitchen on a hot day. If we didnt have the smart fridge and want our stuff to match i would skip the fishwasher and the washing machine for horrible design flaws.
