we've had this range for a bit over 2 years now. in a few words: extremely poor quality and performance.
the oven heats very unevenly, so when you are roasting something, particularly in the small oven, you have to keep turning the food or it will roast unevenly.
the worst disappointment is making pizzas. we wrongly assumed the top oven would make great pizzas. the bottom of pizzas never gets crispy.
the broiler is terrible. the top position is too close to the heating element and the next level down is too low.
the "fast boil" label on the front right element of the cook top is a mystery. the manual does not even mention"fast boil" anywhere. we have tested it with the same pot and the same amount of water, and the two left elements boil the water much faster.

my frustration is more with samsung's warranty and customer service. the glass top has some "pitting" places on one of the eyes after only 6 months. i called to have it repaired. samsung sent someone to inspect it. he said he has seen this issue before and it is a flaw in the glass. he sent a picture to samsung repair in a completely different state. they determined it was physical damage based on a phone photo and therefore wasn't covered under the warranty. why would you go through the expense of sending someone to physically inspect the item, then based on a photo, undermine his assessment? i know it was not caused by something we did and i'm extremely disappointed with my purchase and samsung.

i bought a samsung appliance set a little more than two years ago it was nice a first except the doors on tbe fridge close on you. then after 2 years and 3 months the dishwasher broke and needed a $400 repair. at 7 months out of warranty the stove died. i am still waiting for the repair two weeks later and it is estimated to cost another $400. afterhours on the phone with the company they refuse to stand by their products. buyer beware more than $5000 for these appliances and they are disposable.

i love the look of this range. i dislike this range so much i would replace it with something else if i hadn't spent so much money on it. the glass/ceramic top is impossible to clean. every day, i have to clean it. if i use it, i have a major project to clean it. i use the suggested products, but there's still a lot of elbow grease required. also, the burners are underpowered; it takes forever to get a pot of water boiling. the oven concept is wonderful. self cleaning is a requirement these days in an upscale range. but, they don't tell you that the oven divider must be removed from the oven for the self cleaning to work. the divider must be washed by hand. i knew the racks had to be washed by hand, but it never entered my mind that the divider would also have to be washed by hand.

We loved this range until we tried the self clean. It burned up the control board as it's poorly made. They no longer make part to repair and after only 3 years we have to buy a new stove. They don't make parts for a three year old range that they know has this problem. Just google it you will see. Don't buy this oven! It was top of the line at the time we bought it and now we have to replace on our dime.

expected excellent reliability of a high quality product. in less then 3 years my oven does not work properly. i mainly use the top oven and the lower portion was used 3-4 times at the most. i began to notice that paffpastries or pizza dough comes out dry not backed. i wondered whether i was doing something wrong, but when i would bake at my friends house using her oven, i had no issues. than i noticed moisture on a sides of the oven and all of the racks in the buttom oven were severly rusted. called customer service, after long negotiations i recieved the incorrect rack. self cleaning feature does not clean as per my previous experiences with lg. so in less than 3 years, all i am left with is simply a cooktop for the price of $24 hundred.

The range looks nice, however, the oven temperature has never been accurate. Also, in the middle of baking something the temperature drops and doesn't come back to the correct temperature. The preheat chime will go off before the oven has reached the set temperature so I have to keep an oven thermometer in the oven to ensure the correct temperature. Would not buy this range again.

I love this oven. It has so many features that make life easier. I've only used it a few times so far but the steak and roasted potatoes that I made as my first meal in there was fabulous. The oven and individual burners heat up quickly, about two-thirds the time of my old stove, saving time and energy. The fast boil burner, with the three different sizes is so useful. I can make a small bowl of soup or a big pot of spaghetti. It took a little getting used to the fact that the knobs for the stove had different settings depending on what you need – one knob controls both the front burner and the bridge but it's very well marked in order to avoid accidentally turning on the wrong thing. The control panel responds well when you touch it – waking up quickly from sleep mode. The labels are clear and the buttons are large enough that I know what I'm pressing. While I like the duo oven door and used the separate temps for my steak and potatoes, I had to plan my meal carefully because in order to open up the bottom, you have to open the top. I didn't want to disturb the steak once I put it in but I had put the potatoes, that needed to cook longer, on the bottom. I made sure I turned the potatoes, then put the steak in so that the whole door would remain shut until the steak was done. For making cookies, the convection bake was great, allowing me to lower the temp required (again saving me energy) and ensuring an even temp throughout the oven for multiple trays. Overall I am very happy with this oven.

I bought this December of 2017 and by July of 2018 I already had 4 service calls on it. Everything works great except for a temperature probe issue that kicked off the oven. After dealing with months of back and forth with Samsung I finally got reimbursed for the range. Other then this problem which prevents me from using the bottom portion of my range it is a great range. It looks good and I loved the double oven aspect of it until it broke. Good thing I mainly use the upper portion of it but it does cause problems when cooking multiple items.

Dials light up w a stunning blue, operating panel locks and unlocks easily, several sizes of burners in one, quick-boil burner, griddle and warming center on top, warming drawer, small oven for baking little dishes, large oven for the big stuff, easy storage for separator-shelf to change oven size, self-cleaning, oven turns off automatically quick cooking and baking, oh my, it has it all! I love this stove, it's a terrific price, plus it's a Samsung!

The one thing I will say is that I love this Range. It has a lot of things that can be done with it, but for some things you have to read the manual to figure out how to do. Point and case. When it was installed the installation crew said that we should turn on the self clean for the first use. Could not figure out how to get to the setting without checking the manual. The features that I do love. Dual door makes it very nice when you are cooking small amounts on food where you only need 1 rack. The heating element sizer so that you can accomidate smaller and larger pots is fantastic and works as advertised. There is also a rapid boil water setting which works great as well. My only complaint is just with having to learn how to use this range and again I say with all the things you can do with it I would not expect there to not be a learning curve.

First impression matters and mine was very positive when I first saw (Samsung NE58K9850WS/AA) Slide-In Electric Flex Duo™ Range with Dual Door - it hasn't changed since then. I am pleasantly surprised with the design of the oven, sleek, very modern and with front control panel all in stainless steel. The range is divided into two separate "mini" ovens that can be controlled separately. Once the divider is removed the oven automatically detect it and changes the display accordingly. Since it's an electric oven the burners are covered in ceramic glass, there are 4 burners, 2 left ones have an additional divider for wider coverage. In addition, there is an additional place called warmer. The right one's size can be adjusted depending on the pot. They all heat up pretty quickly. There is also an indicator if the surface is still hot. The knobs lit up in light blue, which makes it easy to spot from the far. Adding it to smartthings app was a breeze, all was done through a smartphone and process didn't take more than 3 minutes. Now I can see what the temperature of each range is and see if the top burners are on or not. It also shows notification if it gets turned on. Very useful for those who tend to forget things, now you can check it on the phone. Controls are also possible, once you physically press smart control button on the range I'm very pleased with the purchase. Overall great product with tons of features.

I feel set free w my new stove/oven because I'm not worried anymore about turning it on for baking a small or medium dish! Plus it has everything I wanted-2 ovens, convection, self-cleaning, warming drawer, 6 burners (including the bridge), great price, and it's stunning in appearance! Samsung is tough to beat, as I own their Chef's Collection refrigerator, a couple of fabulous televisions, and a dishwasher, and I consider myself very fortunate.

I must say that I dance after I bake in this new oven, as the finished products are photo-worthy! After researching many suitable ranges and brands we settled on this model mainly because of the advertised features. It's always a gamble whether a thing is going to work up to anticipated expectations. This range has performed greater than expected, based on the reviews read from very many review sites. This range is everything that it presents itself to be.
The stove-top heating is quick and responsive. Some reviewers have complained about getting the stove-top nice and clean. With a few dabs of ceramic cleaner and some paper toweling, the stop-top looks better than new (but the key is to use ceramic cleaner).
The oven features all work as described. The oven cooks well! Both ovens work great independently of each other. The warming oven is also a bonus feature keeping the plates warm and the cooked food hot while the rest cooks.
Some reviewers have complained about the Smart Control feature and the Samsung APP. The key to making this feature work is to read the instructions carefully. It works! ... and maybe it works too well, because when the oven is on and working, the APP is constantly notifying of any changes in the oven cooking process (preheating, finished cooking, oven off, etc). The APP will turn the oven on or reset the temp remotely if told to do so. All good stuff. The notifying sounds could be louder, but the APP is also notifying on the phone which is very loud.
Someone told us Samsung should stick to making TV's. Well, we're glad they didn't. This range is a welcome addition to our kitchen, something we use everyday. PS - It is a great toy to have around the house and if you're a cook, even better!

The number of choices I have in using this range are great. I use the upper oven a lot, so much so, that I have given my toaster oven away. The upper oven does cook hotter and quicker than my old convention oven. The top cleans easily, but also needs to be cleaned frequently. Use the three sized burner frequently. The fast boil really works. Find it is a good idea to lock the control panel to prevent things from accidentally being turned on.

While cooking soup, it overflowed and liquid entered in-between 2 glass.
Vent is placed so badly that overflowed liquid enters in-between glasses and it's just not cleanable.
Liquid can easily flow from ceramic top to the front knobs and then due to curved design it goes underneath the knob panel and right under there, there is vent for exhaust which does expose space between two glasses. In about 2 months usage it looks so bad and totally not hygenic.
Also one of the front adjustable leg does not lift it's weight. Or it's defective.
Never expected this from Samsung. Bad bad product.

Slide-In Double Door Double Oven - Yeah Its Finally Arrived

There was great anticipation of this oven in my household. We were replacing an oven circa 1995. We have been waiting for the duo oven with double door in a slide in configuration with the touchpad on the front. Finally released, we purchased right away. As with all products there are pros and cons. I'll review in no particular order of importance my impressions using this oven over about 2 months of use now.
Pros:
- the duo oven feature with the split door
- ceramic cooktop and arrangement of the burners, very functional
- the warming drawer is great with 3 settings and we can still conserve some of the storage we had in the old oven (which only had a storage drawer in this location but which we grew to rely on).
- ability to alter oven temperature (see below con).
- the cooktop burners are awesome. They heat quickly, evenly and the ability to adapt the right front burner to pan size is great. It does bring a full pasta water pot to build quickly.
- once a ceramic cooktop cleaner is applied (see con below, it would have been nice to get some with the new oven since they say to apply before using!), the top cleans up easily. One of my aluminum pots had a rough spot which left Aluminum "scratches" on the cooktop which removed easily.
- the water steam cleaning cycle works great
- cookies are browned evenly even when placed on multiple racks
- convection cooking is new to us so we are getting used to it but so far so good.
- using the "option" setting to allow for an automatic 25 deg temperature reduction during the convection cycle is nice. You still need to calculate a reduction in time though. This seems like an easy additional calculation that could be programmed in making convection cooking conversion from standard recipes a snap.
- style goes with our transitional kitchen
Cons:
- didn't come with even a sample of ceramic cook top products. Come on Samsung, for what this unit costs this would have been nice
- didn't come with graphite lub for the shelf sliders. While it isn't necessary early in the oven's life, it would have been nice to get a tube with the new unit for future use. Again, for the cost of this unit- come on Samsung.
- the front control panel is overly touch sensitive so that we were turning on the warning drawer unit by just brushing against it. Bad news if there is anything heat sensitive stored in the drawer. We end up putting the lock on after use to prevent accidental activation.
- I have not yet found a way to change settings if I've made a mistake in setting up a cooking episode without turning the oven off and starting over. In other words there is no cancel or backup function. This would be nice since you WILL make mistakes when setting up a cooking sequence.
- probably most important was that the oven temperature which is supposed to be calibrated at the factory was 25 degreed low. We noticed this because it seemed we were undercooking everything so put our oven thermometer in and discovered the lower calibration. To Samsung's credit you may go thru the "options" menu and adjust the temperature. After this adjustment the oven temp is right on. I suggest you check this temperature the first time you fire the oven up and make the correction. Notably the temp was low in the bottom and whole oven configurations, but in the top oven it read correctly. Hum.
- difficulty getting the wi fi to work. Haven't resolved this yet.
- lots of rack options with this oven, but in order to avoid storing them outside the oven we tend to leave them in. Not much of a problem really but occasionally causes some juggling of racks in different positions depending on the configuration (single or double oven) being used.
- stainless steel doesn't match our Samsung Stainless refrigerator. Close enough, but different shades.
- we convection roasted the other day and the meat was not as surface crispy as I expected, but it may have been the particular recipe.
- the layout of the touch pad is such that it is easy to cancel the oven while you intend to cancel a timer. Individuals with "fat fingers" beware. There really should be more distance between the control buttons.
Haven't yet used:
- temperature probe
- wi fi
- broiler (we don't generally broil)
- full cleaning cycle
Summary: a big step from our ancient ceramic model with traditional oven. I guess anything would have done. We are generally happy with the Samsung and glad to have the slide in model available. We already appreciate the double oven option and use it this way frequently. Baking is a good acid test and so far we are not disappointed, at least not with cookies. We haven't tried a cake yet. The cooktop is very even and great for eggs and french toast and pancakes. The touchpad requires getting used to. It is overly sensitive and could have more useful functions. We like it, which is good because we intend to have it for many many years. This oven has lots of great features and design advantages, but still needs substantial refinement to live up to the price point.
