pictures say most of the issue, but aside from inconsistent burners, the controls are hypersensitive to any moisture. you cannot wipe this with a damp cloth or splash any sauce. you will hear the beeping in your nightmares. the stove will also randomly adust temperature or turn completely off if any moisture hits any controls.
check my video and pictures to see the awesome flex zone for yourself.
i want to return this thing sooo bad...but it functions as samsung designed it...so i will just be selling it to someone on the cheap.

I just started using my cooktop for about a week but have noticed that the cooktop itself actually gets hot after cooking. The mobile knob also seems to have a bit of a delay when turning the temperature up or down. Otherwise still a good buy and glad I got on sale!

The most luxurious cooking surface Ik've ever seen

I bought this cooktop to replace a similar sized downdraft that did not maximize the cooking surface. I am overfall impressed with this beautiful, quick heating, multiple cooking surface appliance; however, the biggest issue is the heat control. Whether using the magnetic knob or your finger, it is difficult to increase or decrease the cooking surface temperature.

We opted to go with an electric cooktop rather than a gas range when we added solar to our home. We decided we would go with an induction cooktop and our research lead us to the Samsung unit. We have not been disappointed. My favorite feature is the flex zone. We have a cast iron griddle that we use all the time. It uses the whole flex zone to heat the griddle evenly. The only complaint about the unit is the timer. The chime for the timer is on the bottom of the unit underneath the counter and can barely be heard if the cupboard door is left open and you are standing right next to the cooktop. The timer is basically useless.

I love my Samsung cooktop. It has some really great features but what I absolutely love the most is how quickly the cooktop adjusts to temperature changes. The cooktop will heat up super fast to the selected temperature. My pans preheat quickly. The heat is distributed equally around the pan. I really enjoy that I have so much more control over my cook times. I can bring water or a sauce to a boil so quickly. I can also reduce the cooking temperature fast as well. The simmer function consistently keeps the food at a perfect temperature as well . I like to have my dishes ready to plate when I'm ready and with the simmer feature I don't have to worry about burning the dish.
The flex zone feature is another favorite. This feature allows me to treat the left side of the cooktop that is usually able to accommodate two smaller pots as one unit. This works perfect with a induction griddle pan. It's perfect for preparing larger meals or pancakes for Sunday morning breakfast. I like the larger eye located in the center of the cooktop. It can accommodate all of my big pots and pans . The cooktop is very sleek and looks great in my kitchen. It's easy to clean and any spills wipe away to a spotless shine. The blue LED flame adds to the elegance of the cooktop. The WiFi feature is such a bonus! I can monitor the cooktop while doing other things. I cook three meals a day everyday and I've had nothing but great results. It's a modern beauty with a perfect performance and I highly recommend this cooktop.

Honestly, I have dreamed of getting an induction cook top for many years and Samsung's cook tops are absolutely a dream come true! It has been so much fun exploring and learning this new type of cooking - it feels like a culinary AND science adventure all in one. The new Samsung Induction Cook Top has been a blast for the whole family....we're surprised at how much the kids are getting into it. No one can resist magnets, apparently. This sleek, stylish cook top is so attractive and incredibly easy to use. We were also thrilled to discover that most of our cook ware works well with it - we didn't need to buy any new pots or pans. The other thing that is definitely worth mentioning about Samsung's Induction cook top is that it is very technology forward. If you're a tech. nerd lik I am you'll certainly appreciate the digital-analog controls, power boost feature, flex zone option, and spot on Wifi connectivity! In our kitchen we use the power boost feature to truly multi-task. You don't want to totally blast a delicate sauce or saute so you keep that burner low, but on the neighboring burner you can heat your tea kettle in under a minute using the power boost. It's literally the world's speediest cup of tea. We also get a kick out of Samsung's extra LED light feature which shines onto your cookware and creates the aesthetic of gas cooking - it's actually quite charming. I would definitely recommend this product to friends and family and I know my wife and children would as well.

Moving from a typical range to this ultramodern convection cooktop has been a huge improvement: kitchen looks amazing, it's way easier to clean, food is a lot faster to cook, the blue lights projected on the pots is a nice touch. My favorite feature is when the cooktop automatically starts my Samsung hood! This is something I show to every person that comes to see my new kitchen and they also love it.
I don't think I will ever want to use anything else. On the other side, I would have probably made the little knob easier to use, I love the idea of it but I always end up using my finger directly on the cooktop touch controls, the knob is not very precise.

We are so in love with our Samsung stovetop and double wall oven! The stovetop heats up and boils water super fast with the power boost and cooks our food very evenly. We have made Chicken Parmesan, Chicken fried steak and multiple other dishes; the performance out does our old appliances 1000-1. They are stylish with the digital analog controls while safe and easy to use. The flex zones allow us to cook multiple dishes at the correct temp while the WiFi connectivity lets us have the flexibility of controlling from a distance! Best decision.

The black Samsung Induction Cooktop is sleek, stylish, and the smartest way to cook on the modern market. Frankly I am surprised that more people have not yet converted to conduction - it is really such a great way to cook. I've been interested in conduction cooking for years and am thrilled that I finally took the plunge, and with Samsung's conduction cooktop in particular. This cooktop has many extra features that you won't find in other basic conduction cooktops including a power boost setting for warp speed cooking, digital analog controls, and a flex zone. Samsung is able to support any type of cooking you're trying to do from catering a gourmet multi-course dinner for 20 people to whipping up some mac n' cheese for one. Many people avoid conduction cooking for fear of high costs - people think they'll have to buy all new special cookware but this is not the case. More than half of the pots and pans we already had work perfectly on this cooktop! The prerequisite for your pots/pans/kettles to work during induction cooking is that they must be made of a magnetic-based material, such as cast iron or magnetic stainless steel. Fully clad cookware will also work on induction cooktops because they're magnetic. And Samsung makes conduction affordable with this new cooktop – it's got all the bells and whistles you'd expect in a high-end conduction cooktop for literally half the price. And when I say superior, I mean SUPERIOR. Induction cooking on this Samsung cooktop takes less than half the time - it's remarkable. I timed a kettle on a standard cooktop and on my Samsung induction cooktop simultaneously.....the induction kettle was whistling after 3 minutes while my standard cooktop took a whopping 8 minutes. What a difference - my busy mornings just got easier. And if you're a bit of a klutz like me, induction cooking is by far the safest option for you...the cookware gets hot but not the cooktop. You can literally put your hand on the cooktop immediately after boiling water in a pot and the cooktop is cool to the touch. Honestly, I could go on and on but you really need to see this for yourself. Samsung induction cooking is on the absolute cutting edge of science, technology, and the culinary arts. The Samsung induction cooktop is attractive, well built, and extremely user friendly. It has given my kitchen an incredibly smart modern look and I've already gotten loads of compliments from friends, family, and neighbors.

Samsung Induction Cooktop

The Samsung Induction cooktop is great with only a few minor things I wish were different. The cooktop is sleek and so easy to clean! I really hate cleaning cooking messes between knobs and buttons, so the smooth surface of this unit makes cleanup a breeze. I love the virtual flame on two of the elements – it's nice to be able to glance at to judge how high the heat setting is.
This unit includes a removable magnetic knob for adjusting the temperature on any element you select. It's such a cool idea, but controlling the temperature can be a little erratic until you get used to it.
I haven't used both elements of the Flex Zone at the same time, but I do wish each individual Flex element was a little larger. Some of my frying pans overhang a bit more than I'd like, but it still does a good job.
The Power Boost feature boils water faster than you can possibly imagine. I've heard induction was fast, but seeing is believing. My last cooktop was not induction and took a while to heat up much less boil water. Induction really is instantaneous and adjustments to temperature are immediate.
This cooktop also connects to Smartthings and allows remote monitoring from your smartphone. Also, it connects wirelessly to our Samsung under cabinet hood which turns on automatically once you start cooking. Awesome!

I have had this cooktop now for 9 months and in absolutely love the performance. I have always preferred cooking on gas due to its precision and efficiency, however now prefer cooking with induction as it is super fast and more efficient than gas. Samsung has done a great job with the LED lights that simulate a gas burner. The cooktop is super flexible with the bridge burner that allows me to convert two burners into one to accommodate later pots/pans. Very easy to clean and do not have to worry about getting burned if left on.

We just bought a new Samsung NZ30K7880UG Induction Cooktop and we're very happy with it. It has excellent features such as flex zone burners where you can combine the burners on the left to create one large burner for a large size skillet. It boils water very quickly using the boost option. The flat glass surface is beautiful. The blue LED lights add a nice effect to make it look like you're cooking with gas. I've cooked with gas before and this cooktop is actually better than cooking with gas. There's complete control over the heat and response is quick and efficient. There are some problems with the Samsung Smart Home App but a representative just told me that software updates will be released soon. I highly recommend this cooktop.
