beware, stay away. purchased less than 2 year ago. 6 months after having the refrigerator, ice maker stopped working. technician came out, said he cleaned the unit and should be fine. the next day, the ice maker was not working. same technician came out and replaced the icemaker that he could have replaced on first visit. 1.5 years having the refrigerator, started getting an error code. different repair crew came out for this issue. replaced the door with the screen and the board that controls the unit. this is when more problems started. the door is not aligned. the icemaker seal on the door does not close right and the ice melts and drips. squeaks and creeks when closing the doors, there is something sticking out from top of the replaced door, makes noises when running.

Pretty fridge, but it has broken down now four times in the 2.5 years I have owned it. In the first year the compressor failed. In the second the ice maker had to be replaced and a leak that caused the freezer to fail had to be repaired. The freezer problem recurred a year later. Incredibly unreliable and Samsung will not refund my money. It's a beautiful fridge, but is just not reliable.

ever since we bought this refrigerator we've had trouble with the freezer i wish i had read the reviews before we bought it. it freezes up and it pours water into the door of the refrigerator. the water is now leaking out of the refrigerator into the tray. and that's only half the problem, it makes a constant noise. i have had service out here on 4 occasions, replaced the freezer, this last time they replaced something in the back. yes, it's out of warranty but it's been a problem since before it went out of warranty and it's never been fixed. now i am being told that the company will not come out again because it's not in warranty even though the person on the phone originally told me it would be covered because it's an ongoing problem. i've been a loyal customer this is not acceptable.

the ice maker in this fridge is a piece of junk. no other way to describe it. it has never worked properly. it freezes up within a week every time we thaw it out. samsung is well aware of the problem and never offers a solution. worst customer service ever. and after 20 phone calls and emails we never received the rebate from samsung. we purchased everything in our kitchen and laundry room from samsung. never again!

in 2018, we remodeled our kitchen/laundry. we bought all samsung appliances. we were pleased with the features, but the quality, warranty, and repair process has been horrible. within 6 months, our dishwasher broke. after multiple expense appointments, samsung said the tub cracked, they blamed the retailer, and the retailer accused samsung. no one helped us, and we had to purchase a new one. next, our wash machine stopped working and the quote to fix it cost more than a new one. again, bought a new one. on christmas eve 2020, our oven wouldn't heat. it took a week to have our 1st appointment. it's jan. 28, and we're on our 4th appointment, and it's still broken. 1/23/21 our refrigerator/freezer completely stopped working – still waiting for an appointment. don't purchase samsung.

after wrestling with the ice maker for 2 years, the fridge finally broke down. through the nightmare of a customer service the fridge was not repairable. broke in november, was without a fridge for 2 months until we finally broke down and purchased a whirlpool through another source. the samsung to this day has not been resolved. will never purchase another samsung product.

Been a few months and I have to say this fridge is more flexible then I was in my 20's. The showcase door is a game changer for when it comes to fridges for families, my tip is store all the snacks in here so you'll never have to hear there's nothing to eat, and they won't waste alot of time just standing there vacantly staring at nothing till you decide for them what they should be eating." Even if you don't have kids it makes storing your favorite items easier to just grab on the go. I like that the fridge converts to a freezer then back at the push of a button. I love that the shelves lift out of the way for the taller items and they slide back to fit more stuff if needed.. This fridge is perfect for our family of 4 needs and even those random splurge shops when you just needed milk but ended up with more, you'll always have the room.
Negative: the fingerprint resistant surface is a joke, I get to place CSI everyday trying to figure out who was in the fridge last. So if you really want that feature in a fridge, then you might want to look elsewhere, I wipe fingerprints down off this bad boy daily if not more.

early in its life we enjoyed the product. the ability to use both lower doors as a freezer and the easy access door were delightful. then the problems started.
first the ice maker started icing over requiring monthly defrosting with hair dryer or heat blower. we tried every trick recommended and nothing made this problem go away. then the freezer compressor went out. the initial response from samsung service was good and within a week we had a repair person at the house. that is when the nightmare started. for 7 weeks i have been calling samsung support to get the situation handled without success.

have had the refrigerator for 3 years now.
love the way it looks, but it's easily the worst refrigerator i've ever had. here are problems:
--ice maker often freezes up, causing me to defrost it every three months or so.
--control panel isn't intuitive at all. i don't know how to turn things on or off.
--when i installed a water filter, it leaked causing a massive stain on our wooden floor.
--now the control panel says filter reset so i replace the filter. now water doesn't come out at all and the filter reset button stays on.
--this web page doesn't contain instruction manual.
--no fingerprints is just a ploy. fingerprints are all over the place.

Overall, this is a great fridge. The double doors open to wide and deep shelves that can easily hold 2 standard sheet pan. The flexzone door can hold large bottles/jugs for quick access. The flexibility to have the lower right compartment as a freezer or fridge is very convenient. The only downsize for this fridge is the ice maker. The ice maker is small and if unused will freeze up.

We love this refrigerator. We much prefer the French doors on the bottom instead of a drawer. The flex zone has also been great. However, we've only had the refrigerator for 3 months and the ice maker already died. Samsung sent someone out to replace the ice maker, but the new ice maker never worked. Still waiting on a fix.

We've had 3 ice makers in 3 years and only once was covered under warranty. Check carefully on this refrigerator as there is a known ongoing issue with the ice maker on it. At nearly $300 a pop in repairs it isn't long before you've bought a whole new refrigerator. My next one won't be a Samsung.

I've had this fridge for about 2 years.
I will say, it's very functional and works great.
The not so good: ice maker is not great. If you fill a small pitcher with ice, you will have to wait at least 4-6 hours to get ice again. I like the functionality of the ice maker but am very unhappy about the output of ice. Also, about a week ago the ice machine has started leaking water when we push a glass against the ice lever. Not sure if the ice is melting or the water lever and ice lever have somehow broke and am getting some double activation. i will be calling the repair folks to check this out next week.
Another bad is, finger prints are easily left on the door handles and surrounding area. It will require cleaning often.
If i remember, i will update this post.

have owned this refrigerator since 2017 and have been very please with it with the exception of the ice maker. we have very low humidity here in new mexico and within the first year of ownership i had to defrost the ice maker twice to get it to be able to make ice. the thing froze up twice. i figured that it had to be a defective ice maker so prior to the warranty expiring i had a service call and the ice maker was replaced.
within three months i had the same problem with the ice maker freezing up to the point where it would not produce ice. it's a pain to have to defrost the thing every two to three months. i should have read the online comments before i bought this unit. i wouldn't have purchased it.

I'm very happy and impressed with this refrigerator. I've owned a lot of them, including $8000 42" Built-ins. (Another Co) I have more fridge space because the bottom right section can be used as a refrigerator instead of freezer. I have a chest freezer so don't need more freezer space. The drawer spaces are spacious and accommodate more than any other brands I've owned and this surprises me because I have a counter depth model! Then there's the right door feature that lets you easily reach butter, dressing, condiments quickly without opening the whole door. It's a couple of years since purchased, so far works fine. Oh another great thing is the temperature is consistent and doesn't freeze my veggies, especially in the drawers. I didn't dare leave salad veggies in the drawers of my last fridge.

This fridge has given us problems right after the 1 year warranty ran out. The ice maker alone costs $500 to fix and doesn't last a year after repair. I will never buy Samsung again. The help line doesn't even try to help even though they know they have major problems.

I like the door within a door for items frequently used. Makes reaching for them easier. Also like the ability to switch one of the freezers for extra refrigerator space if necessary. Negative was that ice maker froze up, stopped working and needed repair. However, it was under warranty and it hasn't happened since. Also, stainless steel dented easily in a few places when grandchildren banged into it.

Before we moved into our new construction house in July 2018, I have been searching for a French Door refrigerator for a while. I looked at them online as well as in person at stores, and I always come back to this Samsung 4-Door Flex one. It's very spacious for 2 people (and 2 cats), and I love that the freezer section is not one big drawer bin that you have to dig forever to find your food. With this Samsung fridge, I can see my food (especially in the freezer) right away, and I love that the bottom right section is a "Flex" zone where you can either use it as a fridge or a freezer. I would absolutely buy this fridge over and over again.

We have had this refrigerator for 3 years now and I love the fact that we can use the freezer as a fridge! We already have a couple freezers, so we needed more fridge space than freezer. My only complaint is the small ice compartment and a small water reservoir, we run out of ice often and the water is not cool after just a couple of glasses of water. We live in the desert so ice and cold water is important. Maybe they have fixed that issue by now, since I did complain about that when we first got the unit. Overall though it has been a great refrigerator and recommend the product for sure!

We love the stainless steel finish and the FlexZone feature. We have a separate upright freezer so the FlexZone gave us additional refrisheration space. The interior of the refrigerator is spacious and the quick access door is convenient however, I highly discourage ANYONE from purchasing this refrigerator. I have had the ice maker worked on twice in under 3 years and to this day it still isn't working right. I finally caved and bought a counter top, stand along, ice maker. The unit in the refrigerator over freezes and I constantly have to break out a hair dryer to thaw it. Other times it whirls, wines and makes a lot of noise.

Purchased in mid-2016. Within a year, the ice machine started to freeze over and stopped producing ice. It is literally jammed with melted frozen ice. We had most of the components in the ice machine replaced and still had issues. The repairman said it was likely NOT going to fix the problem. Like other reviewers have said, it is simply a defective design. It looks nice, but the ice machine is just too cumbersome to deal with.

This product has an ice maker that is known to fail (A Florida news station has reported in this). Mine is failing already and when I contacted the support all they said was that my warranty is lapsed, and they can not help me fix it they have to have a technician come out at an additional charge.

We bought this refrigerator about a year ago (April 2019) and it far exceeds our expectations in terms of space, accessibility and performance. Have not used the flexzone feature since we need the freezer space. It does give us the flexibility in the event we ever need to use it as an extension of our fridge.
