we have had a hot of problems with this refrigerator. the ice machine often does not work and clumps up in machine. the back freezes anything you put there: milk, juice, lettuce etc. the refrigerator has rusted completly around water/ ice dispenser. ive conracted samsung and they dont care.

if i could, i would give this product half a star since it does keep food cold in the refrigerator and food frozen in the bottom freezer, but the ice maker is where it goes wrong. bought refrigerator in may of 2016. a year or so later, the ice maker begins to freeze up and i have to go in and chip ice out once a week or so. now four years later, ice maker does not make any ice even after chipping out ice from being iced over. we tried calling for service but due to it being out of warranty, it would cost $300-400 to repair and a $95 diagnostic fee. (nearest authorized samsung repair is like 1-1/2 hours away and i live in miami, fl. so we gave up and bought a counter top ice maker (not samsung) and much cheaper solution. cannot wait until i can send to scrap heap

Poor ice maker design

I bought this frig 11/16 and replaced 2 ice makers under warranty. Samsung would not warranty just the ice maker after the one year warranty ran out. I purchased the extended warranty thru Home Depot for 2 years. I will be getting my fourth ice maker tomorrow. Doubt it will fix the problem of frosting over and ruining the motor.

The Worse Quality Fridge Ever

I bought the fridge in November 2016. Samsung changed the compressor in November 2017. They changed the ice maker in January 2018. They serviced the ice maker in June 2018. Today (11/10/2018), the ice maker does not work anymore.

Sturdy handles are unique in their design. The ice maker works great! Interior LED lighting makes use at night so easy. Interior shelving that moves with ease is wonderful. Really like the center storage drawer that allows for four different uses, and alternative temperature control. The freezer drawers are solid construction. The lowest, largest one allows for storage of heavier, larger items, like a turkey or roast. I have purchased several refrigerators over the years. This is the absolute best! I highly recommend it.

Ice maker problems

We had this refridgerator about 1 1/2 years when tyhe icemaker started to leak into the fridge and all over the floor. Had service co. out twice in two months . The third time he installed a brand new ice maker. Now two months later it has started all over again. Don't pass up your extended warrenty for this unit.

We've only had this product since December 16th, so far so good. I love the little drawer fridge we like to use it for those things you usually loose in the bigger part of the fridge, cut onion ect, also for the most used easy to find and grab. My daughter likes how the freezer is set up she keeps her vegetarian stuff in there and can find it easier than the side by side we had. It is kinda loud hopefully I'll get use to that. Again with this product we had a hard time registering it.

The features on this fridge are great. The ice maker/water dispenser work great and the freezer is huge. The bonus independently temperature controlled drawer is an ingenious addition and very handy. The only design problem I found was that the vegetable compartment drawers are a bit difficult to open because the French doors do not open far enough for the drawers to clear the door shelves when pulled straight out.

Great design and ergonomics

This kitchen appliance seems to be a bit intuitive in its design and features. When I open it up, I can see everything inside, reach everything inside and store huge quantities of products. The storage drawer is just plain terrific in design and use. I would suggest that sometime in the future there will be two storage drawers, and not one. The freezer drawer is well thought out by the designers with a storage lip on the drawer front, and great ease in organizing what I have to store. the specifications of this say it is 24 cubic feet, but I think it acts like it is 30 cubic feet in that it is so easy to use. I am quite pleased with my purchase and encourage others to look closely at this refrigerator.

i like that this refrigerator has a 3rd area where the temperature can be set differently from the main refrigerator and freezer compartments. i can keep meets isolated from fruits and vegetables and help reduce the risk of contaminating other foods. i ended up getting the 30" instead of the 36" because the 36" would've been a really tight fit. the 30" is a bit more restrictive for interior space, so it is a bit more difficult to place everything and still be able to see it/get to it. a 36" would not have this issue

I bought the classic white model, and it is beautiful! It runs very quietly and has so much room for it's 25 foot cubic capacity. The middle drawer is a special bonus feature for my "grab and go" items. The freezer on the bottom is fantastic! I can see everything in it. And my favorite feature is the ability to get a glass of ice water and keep on walking! Everything stays so organized and I can find whatever I am looking for with ease. I highly recommend:)

I only have had this refrigerator for a few days and so far everything about it has been great. I did read where there were problems with the ice maker. It makes ice as quick as I need it unless I plan on having a party and then I go out buy bags of ice and keep it the cooler. Some complained about the noise of the ice maker...when ice drops into a plastic ice container it WILL make noise(Hello) however that noise is over in a few seconds. Give me several more months and I will give another review.....having some fun in Kentucky!

ICE MAKER - DISAPOINTING

We have had this very expensive refrigerator for 1 year and the Flex Zone drawer stopped working properly after 1 month. It only "chills" it does not freeze at all. That was not such a big deal because we use the drawer for canned sodas, which fit perfectly. The biggest problem is the ICE MAKER. The ice maker has not worked properly at all. It freezes over and jams up. Sometimes it doesn't even make ice at all. In addition, when the ice does work for 1 day after my husband has un-jammed it, the ice is watery and drips of water come out of the dispenser making a puddle on the floor. I'm so disappointed. I'll go back to my other brands of products that I usually purchase!

This product is very good.

Our old refrigerator died and we needed a new one. The four doors are wonderful. The best feature is the middle drawer that can switch between standard refrigeration and simulating "on ice" conditions for storing shrimp trays and the like. We really like the 33 degree setting that allows us to age our own steaks. There's nothing like aged beef. It keeps hard cider cold and holds plenty of 12 oz. cans and sandwich meats. The door handles are the best on the market and easy on old hands. The doors are the least functional item, particularly the water/ice dispensing side. Curved surfaces and very narrow trays don't hold much and there are no height adjustments. The right door is easily adjusted to hold tall bottles and milk jugs in the bottom tray but there are no adjustment levels after that. That means condiment bottles have to go in the main fridge which isn't the handiest. Change the doors and this product goes from very good to excellent.

Seriously though, this refrigerator is top of the line with nearly every bell and whistle. I love the power freeze/cool options to chill a drink quickly. Very spacious with nice shelving options, though they are somewhat limited for needing 4 gallons of milk on hand (kids) at all times. Arthritis foundation should know about these freezer handles!

This fridge is in a household with an 82 year old lady and a chronic pain sufferer (CRPS + chronic migraine). The handles on that little magic middle drawer and the freezer are so nice on the wrists! The fridge itself isn't too bad, it's just more than slightly better than other fridges, but on a bad pain day that makes a BIG difference. The LED lighting shockingly (I wish I could underscore that) is NOT a migraine trigger and the additional lighting on the sides helps with being able to see every nook and cranny. That 3 second alarm helps with post seizure brain fog (ex: "what am I doing, oh right, I'm in the fridge and hungry") In other words from my limited experience with being disabled (2.5 years) and my grandmother actually slowing down (6 moths) I think this fridge may just fit the bill for a good deal of disabled and elderly people :)

Overall, I really like this model, the drawer is really convenient, the French doors easy to use. If I could change anything, I would have had it an inch or two wider and an inch or two not so deep. Also, I have not been able to adjust the shelving where there was plenty of room for tall bottles - wine, even milk will not fit but one place. Was told to not put milk on door. Wish someone would tell me what the default arrangement of food is.
