absolute junk. bought it 3 years ago and it lasted about 2.5. the defrost/heater has stopped working (if it even did in the first place). so the radiator freezes solid and no longer cools. we defrosted it (extremely inconvenient…) and got a few more months and already need to do it again. samsung was not going to cover repairs but did end up giving me a partial refund (they didn't even want to do that, had to fight for it..).
overall zero stars. will never buy a samsung product again.

the six storage bins positioned inside the french doors are poorly designed and incapable of holding even light loads without cracking. the bins crack, break, and fall out. this experience is well documented across the internet. samsung then runs a lucrative business selling you replacement bins at $70+ per bin. this may work as a short-term business strategy but it won't result in repeat customers. be forewarned prior to choosing a samsung refrigerator like this!

this is a very loud refrigerator from start to finish, my 10 years old refrigerator is way quieter. ( very embarrassed when family members and friends asking about the noise)

this refrigerator has worked fine for just over a year and a half and now the freezer doesn't stay cool., drifts up as much as 10 degrees before we have to use the power cool to drive the temp back down before our food thaws out.
have tried all the reset procedures and cleaned the coils and intake vents, doesn't help
after reading though the forums it appears this is a chronic problem with samsung freezes.
this frig isn't even 2 years old so it's just out of warranty, figures.

I bought this refrigerator a little over a year ago at Best Buy, and in less than a year 3 of the plastic door shelf bins broke after normal wear use. Even with the Best Buy service warranty, they won't replace them. The bins are are almost $100 a piece, so 6 door shelf bins are almost half of the refrigerator's value? That alone devalues the entire refrigerator. Give me a break.

Buyer beware! We purchased this fridge about two years ago, and I have loved it up until this week. The ice maker has stopped working. The tray fills up but does not dump the ice. In addition, water now leaks into the area below the wide deli drawer and freezes. We have to pull the bin out and remove the ice or the tray sticks and won't pull out. I went to the internet, thinking there would surely be a solution to the icemaker and water leakage. To my dismay I found multiple accounts of the ice makers on the Samsung fridge, not only my model, that quit working within 1-2 years of purchase with no solutions. Many people have had repairmen out multiple times, replacing the entire unit, but it continues to stop working shortly thereafter. Samsung has no solution to this problem. Please check this out before purchasing the fridge. We have also had to repair the swinging hinge on the left door. If I had known what I know now, I would have gone with a different brand.

Have owned this Samsung refrigerator for right at 2 years. Since purchasing it new, the freezer section has had numerous problems. We have had 7 service calls and it is still not fixed. The ice maker has been replaced twice, yet the cubes freeze together after a day or two. The packages in the freezer cabinet become coated in frost and they wind up stuck together. If not for an extended service policy, this would have been a financial nightmare in addition to having to chisel our frozen food and ice cubes apart. Our Samsung washer and dryer, purchased at the same time as the refrigerator, have also had the need for several service calls. In our case, it was a mistake to purchase Samsung.

This is a replacement for a 10 yr old unit. We have never had water in the door or even connected ice makers for a few reasons. First the eternal threat of returning from a night or weekend out and finding your house flooded because of the compression fittings used in most of the water hookups. Second the ice always seems to retain some of the freezer odor. Third the sacrifice of storage space when considering water and ice in the door. At the urging of our children we purchased this model because it has the water dispenser inside and since we were connecting the water we decided to let the ice maker operate also. BTW the water connections are no longer compression fittings but o-ring seals. Of course one end depends on your house connection.
After a week I am somewhat pleased with the convenience of the water dispenser. I also like the filtered water. However the inside water dispenser seems to always leak after using. Not a lot, perhaps 1/2 of an ounce. I have researched it online and there are two solutions, 1. keep your cup under the water stream until it stops. We do that. It is not the problem. 2. Wait until all the air is out of the system, or if it persists then air is entering the system and must be repaired. Well, it's been a week and it continues to leak. It's not worth tearing apart but it is an annoyance.
The Cool Select Pantry drawer doesn't come out far enough. It is hard to get to items in the back since it is a shallow drawer (top to bottom).
Love the freezer door. The handle seems to solve the problem of the hard initial pull it takes to break the seal. Also love that the top drawer of the freezer comes out with the door.
The lighting is great.
The door bins are extra deep. No problem holding two gallons of milk in each one. Which we do.
The Quick Space Glass Shelf seems cool but can't seem to find a use for it yet.
The ice maker is a bit loud but I suppose they all are. It takes three days to fill an empty ice tray. Since I have never used an ice maker before I don't know if this is normal. It seems to meet our needs.

I love the new refrigerator. The Geek boys were so polite and explained again all the features. Only problem right now is two of the slide out shelves will not slide out. They have been reordered for us and when they arrive we will be in great shape. Hope to have this appliance for years to come.

We love the space that this refrigerator provides. We moved from a side by side to this one and the amount of storage is a huge difference. We just wish that we didn't need to change our cupboard for the extra inch in height, but Samsung is no different than any other brand. If we wanted 36" width, we had to take the extra height.

This product has met all my expectations. I love the design and feel that I have more room for our food storage. Being so new, I am sure I will find even more advantages as I get more familiar with it. Having a large extended family, I now have the much needed wider storage shelves to be able to store larger containers etc. I am very pleased with this selection!

I purchased this to replace my old refrigerator. I have only had it for a couple of days but it works and looks great. Plenty of space to accommodate everything I have plus more. The freezer size is bigger than expected...can't wait to put it to use. Hopefully it stands up to my test "life" and proves to be just as durable as its beauty.

I love this refrigerator. It's beautiful and looks great in my kitchen. I had a fridge before this that was over 30 years old. It was almond, while all my other appliances are white. This Samsung fridge is white, and what a difference! The french doors open all the way so I can pull out the numerous drawers. It also has many thermometer settings, which is WONDERFUL. The shelves on each side of the doors are nice and big, so they can hold tons of products. Oh my gosh! I am absolutely in LOVE!!!!!!

I shopped many different brands and models before deciding on this French door model. The arrangement of the features matches what I need for ease of use. I like the bottom freezer drawers and it is well lit. It is quite easy to arrange the shelves in the refrigerator section and to find the items I am trying to locate. This model does not come with an ice maker, which I did not want. My water is too hard to make an ice maker an attractive feature, but there is adequate room in the freezer to store a bag of purchased ice.
The directions given before delivery made sure that the refrigerator would fit in the space in my kitchen.

We finally decided to retire our 20-year-old _______ refrigerator. We wanted something efficient and with more space. Even though we are a small family, we like to catch a good sale and stock up on refrigerated or frozen products. This 25 cubic foot fridge seems like it will do very well. I really like the fact that I can set the temps for fridge and freezer separately, as opposed to my old fridge. The glass shelves make me more nervous than my old wire racks. The door storage is huge, but I haven't figured out how to make it work for us. I used to stack several glass containers on top of each other in my old fridge (wire racks), but here I may have to spread them out (glass shelves).
I just realized that with a sliding freezer drawer, I may not be able to put liquid items (mug of hot coffee or tap water, for example) in there to freeze/chill for fear of them tipping over when I close the drawer, as opposed to my old racks.
Don't get me wrong, I am going to enjoy this fridge, hopefully for 20 years, more than I did the old one. I just like to point out what I am giving up for all this room and efficiency.
You know what Samsung really needs? Wild colors! I really want a dusty rose or cool pink, or a peach or any fun color. THEN we could start talking about the fridge being an aesthetic powerhouse in the kitchen!!!

I really like this product. One thing that I would love to see included would be an accessory option to purchase an in the door shelf/bin (to replace one of the bins) that would allow for storing a butter dish and extra cubes of butter. All prior products I have owned have always had this feature.

Best fridge we have ever had. The water filter feature is great, but would like to see a longer spout or a flow dispenser speed toggle, as sometimes we get splash back when the water hits ice cubes. Other than that it has been great!

WE'VE HAD OUR REFRIGERATOR FOR THREE MONTHS AND LOVE THE ILLUMINATION INSIDE. THE SECOND SHELF HAS A FRONT SECTION THAT LIFTS FOR STORAGE OF TALL BOTTLES ON THE THIRD SHELF (SUCH AS WINE). THERE IS AN ABUNDANT AMOUNT OF STORAGE SPACE IN THE REFRIGERATOR AND FREEZER COMPARTMENT.
