Very STYLISH; but terrible reliability

the refrigerator, in theory, is a great idea. its beautiful, handy with the monitor functions featured on the door, but it lacks reliability. the ice machine will work some; it'll develop ice and seizes up after a few load or two of ice. you will have to remove the ice box, blow dry the build up, and restart the ice making system. we've owned it for 3 years now and then the coil leaked. i had the coil replaced and refrigerant recharged. worked again for a few days then now the compressor is locked and inverter board fails. so i'm in this dilemma of whether i should continue to dump money in this refrigerator or replace it with something more reliable. i just hope those that are reading my review be warned not to buy this specific model.... you'll be in for a headache.

samsung provides neither quality or customer service! i purchased a refrigerator in 2018 and it was troublesome from the beginning. after a number of service requests and in 2021, after the warranty expired, the refrigerator was declared "non-repairable." i was offered a "partial refund." in trying to get my refund, i have experienced nothing but confusing responses, lack of response and no service!

the worst refrigerator i've ever used. shelves are made of low-quality plastic. the ice maker is constantly covered with ice and stops working every 5,6 days. the shelves break from a light load. also shelves are formed so that there is no access to wash them on their edges. customer service does not value the company's reputation, does not cooperate with people. from my own bad experience, i recommend not to spend money on low-quality samsung refrigerators !!!

Touch screen is not reliable and stops working

the touch screen stopped working just after 1.5 yr. smartly the product carries 10 yrs compressor warranty and the refrigerator works as usual but because all the control of the refrigerator are from touch screen, i cant update any settings. so now without the touchscreen , this refrigerator is same as one from 80s as it has fixed temperature. big disappointment on such low reliability of the premium product from top brand.

Damaged on arrival

first off place the order waited for weeks for it to get here then they just popped up at my door to deliver it didn't give me a time frame for me to pick i wasn't able to be here for the delivery they held it for two days then brought it then after they bring it they brought it to me damaged a $4,000 refrigerator damaged i'm a brand new homeowner been waiting for this refrigerator for my family for it to come here damaged highly disappointed in samsung called it in they told me they would get back to me i haven't heard anything yet gave me a ticket number offered me $100 for the refrigerator being damaged that they would refund me just sad especially to be coming from samsung

focus on the family hub bc we all know you can get a comp. fridge for less $. overall i'm happy with the basic fridge/freezer functionality. i read a lot of reviews to see if the tech had evolved to make it worth the extra $ & decided to buy. lack of native media apps (netflix, hulu, youtube) in favor of mirroring another device renders both devices useless. can't turn off a screen i'm not watching, can't use it, & can't use the fridge management functions. can't uninstall apps. built-in fridge manager app is bad enough that it takes so long to use it's not useful. the only thing the image recognition engine has recognized correctly so far are eggs, otherwise nothing has even been close, & makes it more difficult to use the app, not less, b/c i spend all of my time deleting the suggestions

this is a cool product with lots of great features, but beware the finger print resistant stainless steel is perfect except for the handle which is the most frequently touched part! i was so excited to get the fingerprint resistant finish but when it arrived the angled edge on the door (which serves as a handle) is touched every time you open it and subsequently filled with fingerprints. i don't know what the designers were thinking! why would you make the most frequently touched part the most susceptible to fingerprints? it constantly needs to be cleaned. this just seems to defy logic.

I upgraded to this fridge and the Family Hub really does make a huge difference. My family and I always use it for music and accessing our family shopping list. Also, when it's not being used, the screen sometimes lights up with a very nice background that matches the weather and shows the temperature. For example, since it's Fall right now, it often shows Fall leaves as its background. It's actually very inviting and adds to the atmosphere of the kitchen. Also, the speakers can actually get pretty loud which is great!

Great Fridge - Bad Ice Maker

i purchased the older model 3 years back of this model. some how the water filtration system began leaking in my fridge. the water taste werid and the water that started coming out of the samsung water filter parts created a clear slime that smells like death. i can't use the water or ice and i cant use the main part of the fridge because everytime its open it makes people sick because of the smell. i've have already loss so much food and i've been living out of the bottom flex fridge for almost two months bc no one has gotten their hands on the parts to fix the problem. if i could i would go out and buy another fridge thats not a samsung and throw this one out my front door.

Ive had the fridge for over a month now and it has been nothing short of fantastic. The kids love leaving notes and playing on the whiteboard. The tagging of your food is way off but once you teach it, it learns very quickly. I also love getting alerted when the fridge door is open for too long wherever I am.

We bought this a couple months ago along with a full kitchen line of Samsung appliances. The model we originally wanted was back ordered so we decided on this one. We really like the flex zone door and all the storage in this fridge. The screen is awesome! The only feature I would be negative about is the size of the door compartments. They have a small section in some of compartments so you can't really store anything there.

I love the space in my family hub refrigerator. They compartments are well thought out for ease of use. I thought I would use the tablet embedded in the fridge a lot more but to be honest it's cumbersome, maybe if they made their phone department do the software it would be a richer experience. Also some other things that detract would be the ease of finding the child lock for the water/ice dispenser, you have to navigate through several menus in the app, the water dispenser only dispense one glass of cold water. Also, the ice dispenser isn't very fast and does run out of ice if u have a few folks over (for general daily use it's fine however but we host a lot of dinner parties). Other than that it's been a great and reliable fridge.

Love the 4 doors setup, and refrigerator/freezer works great! Only complaint is the ice maker. Lousy ice cubes and for some reason we get a lot of frost. Would have expected better for the price.

We just bought this fridge and loving it thus far! Water and ice maker work great; lots of water pressure so it doesn't take much time to fill a glass. Can splash a bit on initial start, but not much. LOVE the flex fridge to use as snack space for my kiddos - perfect height for them! Still learning the ins and outs of how to run the display screen, but pretty user friendly so far.

I like the 4 doors and 2 different temperature zones, wifi and other Smart features. The combo ice/water spout is strange but we have adapted how and where to place cups and hands so that ice and water don't bounce or splash. I don't love the individual shelves in the fridge part because of the bulky plastic support. You can't slide food left to right or vice versa because these shelf support bars get in the way. Someone else may love having more variations and options.

I purchased this fridge because I love technology. Its up to date talks to my Alexia, digital videos and photos on display. I hate clutter and having little photo frames everywhere is not my style I can change after downloading photos from my and phone. I live the ability to have recipes displayed and recommended. It show me what's in my fridfe and expirate dates of items in it. I also can play music on it...love this fridge...

Love this fridge!

From the moment I saw the first model of this I knew I had to have it. I have had Samsung TV's and Phones for year and have loved them. When I saw this fridge with the screen and how it connected everything, I just knew it was what I needed. We bought a new house this year and so we finally got to buy this. The screen is fun, love the connectivity. The flex space is handy as well. Only issue is you can't run the water with the door open, which isn't really a huge deal but with 8 people in the house sometimes I wish I could fill up my cup while someone is rummaging in the fridge.

I love it. It's esthetically pleasing but highly functional as well. The large screen is fantastic for reading recipes! I love how quickly I can play music. I can quickly surf the web if I get stuck on a recipe. My 7yr old likes to use the drawing app. Downloading family pictures onto the fridge is very nice. Its user friendly. So happy with my fridge!
