Great use of space in this refridgerator

I have only had this appliance for 1 month but I already love it. Quiet, and sleek in my small kitchen. Space is abundant inside. Only down size is slow release of ice from the door. Easy to live with. Glad I bought this model.

This refrigerator is designed very poorly. The only thing I can say that its outside appearance looks great but the inside design is a disaster. The refrigerator side of the appliance was not thought out well. The shelves do not allow much adjustment to accept your food items. The door only accepts any kind of one gallon size bottle due to the fact that the shelves do not adjust enough to accept them. The second shelf up from the drawers does retract half way to put one gallon size containers on the shelf above the drawers but that is limited and you lose capacity of storage on the second shelf. The vegetable drawers and the fresh drawer do not pull out far at all. You can not even put a standard size head of lettuce in the drawer without pulling the drawer past the stops and balancing with your hand. The fresh drawer is the same way. The freezer section does not have enough drawers to hold bag packages of food. If you put to much in the bags shift forward and eventually slide out when you open the door. The ice maker worked pretty good in the beginning but now jams when you dispense from the door. The ice cubes are frozen solid, The fan has excessive noise when running. This refrigerator is only good for 1-2 people in the household. If you have a family and are considering this refrigerator, RUN<RUN< RUN as fast as you can away from choosing this one. I was in a hurry for a refrigerator due to my old one was dying. I would of been better to eat out a few days and had taken my time in choosing a better refrigerator. I will be considering to replace this refrigerator later this year or my wife of forty years will divorce me.

Fridge is just the right size for our kitchen. Like the light for all shelves. Don't like the loud noise when refilling the ice cube maker. Also the drawers only pull out half way making it hard to put items in the bins.

Very impress with my side by side refrigerator

Just received my new 22.3 cu ft. side by side counter depth refrigerator with ice in door. So far temp cool down very fasted only took 2 hours. More space then my old one 22.6 cu ft. hard to believe but see extra space in both freezer and refrigerator when I put back the food back in the new one. The inside lights up just right all over. Only will miss, is the extra pull out baskets in my old freezer. This refrigerator has an extra feature E-Smart for my Android phone to control my temp. I purchased this model because it was one of the few that carry a 10 yr parts on the compressor and energy star. I prefer side by side since I don't have to dig to find my frozen items. I any looking forward hopefully many years with this refrigerator.

I took a long time reviewing Frig's.. My list of wants made my choices drop considerably, being; Black, side by side, counter dept and at first also panel ready.. When your looking on the internet they all look the same pretty much, so i went to the reviews.. my price point was no more than 2.500.. The only thing that scared me about the Samsung was that if you do have a problem, no body wants to work on them and it's hard to get parts!!! That kept me from pulling the trigger for a long time.. But I eventually did..about a month ago My past Frig was a kitchenaid and lasted about 20yrs.. this Samsung Frig which is a bit shorter but so much larger on the inside! I love the wine and can holder that is build in and the largest difference is the lighting.. They finally figured it out and put the lights in the walls and not on the back shelf where it always broke.. wondering how one does change the light if and when it does go out? The icemaker in the door is a great thing too, really gives more room in the freezer itself.. also the lighting is great in there too..

Good temperature control, kind of noisy

Refrigerator maintains temperatures very well. Digital display of temperatures is a nice feature. Seems well designed to maximize use of interior space. We moved down from 25 cuft to this 22 cuft and can hardly tell the difference. The food drawers only open 4 to 5 inches, hard to get bulky stuff into them. Ice maker is noisy when dropping ice into the bin - noisy enough that it is startling. Full or empty, doesn't matter. The water fill cycle is also noisy. The leveling legs aren't very well designed. Manual says to use a screwdriver to adjust them but the slots for the blade aren't deep enough to do this when there is weight on the legs. Channel locks work though.

Gorgeous Looking Side By Side

It's hard to find side-by-sides now since everyone seems to want lower freezer drawers. With a bad back, I wanted to stay away from that kind of model. Also we had space limitations and wanted black, which is also difficult to find. This model had those 3 features. And it was the only model with those features that had a good performance rating from other users. We've only had it for a few weeks, but so far so good. It its extremely handsome. And looks very RICH in our kitchen. The drawers are plentiful, but don't open very wide. That is expected because it is a counter-space model. If you are looking for the 3 features I mentioned, this seems to be a good choice.

Just what I wanted

This fridge fits into my tiny (100 sq. ft.) kitchen just right. The fact that I could find a 22 cubic ft. fridge that was counter depth (true counter depth, only the doors extend past) was wonderful. I left an opening 36 in. wide and it slid right into place with about1/4 in. to spare. It looks sleek with the smooth doors, but fingerprints could be a problem if you have little ones or a messy husband . The inside is bright and I love having a drawer for fruits and another for veggies as well as a nice sized one for meats and cheese. It has only two issues that I've found, one would be my husband's fingerprints and the other is the loud whistle when the ice tray is filling up. When the tray was filling up the bin for the first time it was very annoying, but now that the bin is mostly full, we only hear it occasionally and it's not so bad. One of those things that I think came from moving the entire icemaker into the door ( and I love having the extra freezer space). No buffer like when it's in the very back of the freezer. I have to say I'm very glad I bought it!

New frig

Obviously with a new frig I really won't know how well it will last or perform for years, but it fits great, looks great, and is set up really nice. We had a slightly bigger stuffed side by side frig that we replaced (it was 18 years old) and everything went back into our new Samsung with room to spare. A really nicely thought out design. Wish there were a few more bins in the freezer. There are two at the bottom and then shelves the rest of the way. Just got used to having everything in bins in the past. Other than that exactly what we were hoping for it to be. I wish counter depth frigs were not so expensive. It makes no sense that a smaller frig should cost more but as counter depth frigs go the price on this one was about as good as we could find.

While this is a small fridge the interior space is well thought out. Plenty of storage especially in the freezer. Only downside is you need a lot of space for the doors to open completely.
