This is a lovely fridge and the ice dispenser is very nice. Unfortunately shortly after one year, half of the fridge no longer works properly. The freezer and ice maker work well, however the refrigerator side will not cool properly. The lowest temperature it will maintain is 50°. We cannot keep some products in our fridge as they go bad almost immediately. It is extremely disappointing. Additionally, customer service was completely unhelpful and could not offer any assistance.
If you are looking for a refrigerator to last you for many years, I would skip this one.

The ice maker has not worked right since we got this refrigerator. I should have called sooner instead of resetting it all the time because now it's not working at all.

Pros: Layout is good, runs quietly, exterior finish is excellent and easy to keep clean
Cons: Only able to adjust shelves in 4 positions, and those 4 positions do not make any sense as far as giving you a variety of shelf space. Drawers do not slide easily; especially the bottom one over the filter which you have to finesse and fight to close each time. Water dispenses cool but not cold water. Controls are not that user friendly, and adjusting the temperature is quirky and impossible to understand without the instructions. There is no information on any of the included paperwork giving the details of the water filter or where to purchase one.

I really like the LED lighting however they should be placed in different positions. Lights are bright but once you put food and drinks in the refrigerator it is kind of dark.
I already had to call service to come to fix it took over 2 days for water to get to the ice maker. When water supply is working it makes a loud whistling sound. Have to have a fan replace also makes a high pitch sound at times. Once these 2 items are fixed I will be very happy with this purchase.

I am a gadget guy and a Samsung guy. They do both well. This fridge does not have all the full extra stuff like special multipurpose digital drawers or fancy double doors/easy access.
It does have a water/ice dispenser in the door and it keeps the cool stuff cool and the frozen stuff frozen. The other features would be nice and since we are going to on a tight budget, it works especially since I am not sure we would use the other things that much.
It does have a quick freezer/cool feature that I think works great.
Good basic + refrigerator.

I loved my fridge but it's almost a year and two months old. Now the fridge side is not cooling. Sadly it's after the one year warranty time frame for the manufacturer warranty. Now I'm trying to keep my perishable food cold while I wait for someone to come check it out for a repair estimate.

Cools down fast. Has option to super freeze or super cool if you put in something that needs to be cooled or frozen quickly. Ice holder removes easily and it makes ice quickly. Nice unit.

While searching for a new refrigerator and comparing many brands and models, I came across this one. It has all of the features that I wanted. Most of the units that I looked at used way too much of the freezer space to accommodate the ice maker. This one uses the freezer space much more efficiently than any of the others that I looked at. The only complaint that I have is with the product packaging. It came out of the box with scratches on the refrigerator door. The store offered to replace it. But with the lead time required to get another one, I opted to live with the scratch.

I like the features of this fridge especially the temperature reading on the door. My only complaints are that there was no water filter in it, and the ice made by the fridge had black/gray scuff marks on it for the first 2-3 days, then the ice started to clear up after that.

I've had this refrigerator for several weeks. Seems to be operating fine and was a good value. I'm disappointed at the interior lighting in both the refrigerator and freezer. Lights are in the back and are blocked when you place items on the shelves. Lighting needs to be redesigned!

This refrigerator is roomy and well designed inside and out. The ice maker is in the freezer door, which allows for more room to store food. However, ice capacity is sacrificed. It's a bit noisy at times, but I'm sure we'll become accustomed to it. The electronic controls are easy to use. Overall, we're very satisfied so far.
One warning! The product width is listed at 35 3/4 inches. This product is every bit of 36 inches wide! It barely fit in our kitchen as the opening is also 36 inches. The refrigerator actually scrapes the wall on one side and a kitchen counter on the other side. It is very difficult to move refrigerator in and out of the space for cleaning.

I purchased This Refrigerator, with Good Hopes. I was Blown Away, and Impressed, The First Twenty Four Hours. The Second Morning, This Refrigerator, Did Not Work! Certainly, I am No Longer Impressed. I Will Give Samsung, another Chance at Their Appliances! This Model, was Brand New, However, I find Out it is also, discontinued? I already, made a Purchase of The Next Level Up! A very nice looking refrigerator. Haven't had it long, so it is too soon to comment on the performance. I am a little disappointed in the interior lighting -- it is not as bright as what I had in my old refrigerator. And, although this refrigerator has a couple of more cubic feet, I cannot fit as much on the door shelves. The refrigerator is black, but gets fingermarks on it. Would have been nice if it came in a smudge proof black.
I appreciate that I could find a side-by-side model with an in-the-door water/ice dispenser.

We've had this unit for a month now and we're nothing but pleased. We replaced a refrigerator over 15 years old and this Samsung is great. The roomy interior and the features are great. Ice & water in the door work really well and the L.E.D lighting is beautiful.

I love everything about this refrigerator EXCEPT it makes a loud popping noise ALOT! When I called about it they said this is NORMAL...WHY WOULD SOMETHING SO ANNOYING NOT BE FIXED? I've had it for about 3 weeks now and I'm happy with everything else except this noise. Would not buy another Samsung refrigerator because of it...seems like this is a big complaint with their side by side refrigerators.

For the first 4 hours after delivery all was good. Then the water stopped working and the ice maker stopped working. We could not switch from one feature to another. We just had a replacement delivered today. Let's see how it performs.

This replaces my previous fridge that stopped working after 14 years of service. It too was a Samsung that we had for many years. The replacement model is very spacious and quiet. I checked the ratings and compared several brands. This appeared to be a good value for the price, so I purchased it and had it installed.

I love this refridgerator. The interior is huge. I won't need a chest freezer because this one has all the space I need! The ice maker could dispense a little quicker and make less noise. But I love this refrigerator

Large fridge, very large freezer. All the drawers help keep it organized. The shelves in the doors are skinny, so it limits how many bottles of condiments you can pack in. Ice machine works well. Have owned for 4 weeks. Love it in black, doesn't show fingerprints.

I have always bought the same make of refrigerators and the two lasted above 16 years each. As I needed a new one, and as the Samsung RS25H5111BC received above average reviews, I thought I would take a chance. I loved the led lights, spill proof edges on the glass shelving, 2 each gallon doors on the refrigerator ( I would have like to have seen 4 like my last fridge), Filter is easily accessible, drawers, shelf space and elegant outside appearance.. Drawers slide out smoothly ( not like some of the other models I looked at ) I would have liked to have seen gallon door shelves on the freezer side.. As I do not access the freezer on a daily basis, I woke up this morning to find everything in my freezer thawed.. All the setting were set properly as installed. All I have now is a decorative appliance, and food that has to be pitched and replaced. Retailer will be crediting my account and picking up the fridge in the next two days. I didn't think I would be spending time researching refrigerators again this soon.

I wanted to purchase a fridge that had all the fancy features, had enough space inside the appliance to fulfill the daily and weekly grind for a family of five, and of course it had to give the sleek look of a new modern appliance. That's why I chose the black Samsung , side-by-side ice making fridge. It took me a long time before I made the final decision when I was researching which one to choose.
This one came up on top of the list.
The only downfall after a few months is that the ice crusher seems to spit out the ice all over, shooting out beyond the glass, at times. Another small thing that I would mention is that you do hear some strange noises coming out from the big fridge.
We just moved in into our new house, but we love it, the best fridge we've ever had, and would recommend it for the right price.
