does not spin cloths enough. my towels take 2 hours to dry even with a small load. also i can not reach the bottom of washer. i have use a grabber to get cloths out of the bottom. not happy with this washer

this washer has been a total disappointment. it is very sensitive to the load being unbalanced, stops the washing process, throws error codes. had the repair people out twice for this issue. both times i was told there was nothing they could do. the tech even told me, "samsung makes good phones, not good washers." now it is two years old and out of warranty and the drum makes a metallic grinding noise when it rotates, sounds like bad bearings. if you are looking for a reliable product that doesn't cause you a headache every other time you do your wash, look elsewhere.

pros: it looks nice and i like the controls. i especially like the activewash since i do not have a sink in my laundry room. cons: first, i wish i had reached inside the washer before purchasing. i can hardly reach the bottom. second, my clothes do not come out clean. third, it leaves detergent residue on the clothes. fourth, it does not use enough water to even cover the clothes. it is too late to return it. i would not purchase it again.

A waste of water and detergent because it does nothing to get your clothes clean. There is no way to speed up agitation on any of the cycle settings so clothes just literally get swirled around in the tiny bit of water that this machine uses.

I bought this washer in about November and it is the most complicated washer I have owned. The loads of wash take FOREVER. I am not exaggerating. Tonight, I started a load at 5:45pm with just a comforter and blanket on the bedding setting. It is now 5.5 hours later and it IS STILL GOING. This is so frustrating. Worst appliance purchase ever. The washer was great the first few months then it depleted. Washer is always out of balance for absolutely no reason. Clothes come out smelly at times when we use Tide, unstobales & downy. After softener compartment is filled (to the indicator line) it starts to drain into the wash. Constantly getting code 4C however there is ZERO water intake issues. Today, bringing up from our downstairs our previous washer/dryer GE Profile Elite set, that lasted us over 10 yrs and the only reason we upgraded was the sleek design, the color & the pre-wash/stain pretreat feature. The set is garbage & I have to say we'll never purchase another Samnsung appliance again. The set is just reaching the 2 yr mark. $1600 plus; we expect better.

I'm so disappointed in this machine for the amount I paid for it. For small loads it does ok but what is the point in having an oversized tub if it can't handle an oversized load?? It gets out of balance so easily and will keep refilling and spinning over and over again unless you stand there and baby it. One regular sized blanket or a load of towels freaks it out. And no, I don't ever over-fill it. I live alone so don't have much laundry. I did better with my dinosaur agitator washer. Hate this machine and the matching dryer and will never buy a "smart" Samsung again.

I don't know when I'll be able to use my washer. It was a nightmare confirming my installation. The reason I received only four days late was because I kept bugging the people at Home Appliance. The washer was delivered today, but it steamed up my washroom cupboards and windows. The cool water hose isn't connect properly, even though I paid Samsung to install it. Now they want me to wait 5-10 days before someone can come back to fix it.

Got a great deal on Black Friday 2017. THe first 8 months were great and I loved the super speed feature. It is so great to be able to have a load in the drier in around 35 minutes. We purchased this unit due to the large drum and prewash station on the top of the machine. This is great for pretreating stains and washing baby clothes. The only complaint is the machine failed after 8 months of below average use. It was delivered 12/26 and I was out of town from 12/26-2/28. So only half the amount of laundry was done for the first two of the 8 months. Come August, the drum was warped and the part that holds the drum was bad. It took several phone calls and two tech visits before we were finally able to do laundry again (about 2-3 weeks). Besides this issue, the machine has been great.

Purchased in April 2018 with the matching electric dryer. It has been a marvel to use. It's so quiet that you have to be standing near it to hear it. There are so many automatic settings that you set by it what you're drying. The drying sensors make it fool-proof because the dryer will stop when your load has finished drying. Hope it lasts as long as our Samsung refrigerator has.

This machine is amazing! The different wash cycles are great and the size of loads it holds works great for my family. The only down side is that if your short like me it's hard to reach the clothes at the bottom I have to normally get out the step stool to reach the clothes. They need to make a way where the clothes raise up to you.

For an entire year, I had to purchase Oxy Clean odor blaster because my husband's shirts that pull the perspiration into the clothes (i.e. Under Armour) smelled awful after it was washed. One day I watched my clothes wash--BORING. After filling with water and sloshing for ONLY five minutes, the soapy water drained out. ONLY five minutes--you have got to be kidding. Now the clothes are sloshing around in rinse water with very little detergent. That was ridiculous and why my clothes weren't getting cleaned. Now I ALWAYS wash my clothes with the "extra time" because it won't drain out the soapy water after ONLY five minutes. Also, after watching laundry cycles for several loads, I noticed that the top clothing items were barely wet and some weren't wet at all. Another reason why my husband's shirts aren't getting cleaned. Now I wait for the water to fill in the washing machine. Next, I push the pause button, lift the lid, and add gallon buckets of water. After adding sufficient water to cover the clothes (sometimes 6-7 gallons), I put the lid down and press start/resume. My clothes are clean and I don't have to add extra Oxy Clean odor blaster anymore. Hope this helps those who are frustrated with this washing machine. To Samsung: Please add a button to the washing machine that will add more water if the home owner wants the clothes to be covered in water. It would be helpful to me so I don't have to manually add gallons of water to each cycle that I wash because the top clothes aren't even damp. Also, the first swishing cycle should be more than five minutes before the laundry soap is drained out. All my nice laundry soap is drained and the rest of the swishing is to rinse the clothes. RIDICULOUS!

Bought this one online on Samsung, the guy who came to install was not able to run the washer with water coming down to the drum, instead he said wait for some time it will work. Now i tried all the different level of wash cycle but machine is not working and it will get stuck on the same cycle and no wash and spin ...please be careful when Samsung xpo or hub guys comes to install make sure it will run with water . In my case the guy who came to install took my signature saying it will run after some time but now its not working at all

We went back to a top loading machine after we got tired of the smelly front loading machines. Did not matter. This machine smells, as well as always being out of balance no matter the load size. They claim this machines sensors always keep it balanced, but that is not true! It has a bedding setting for washing on, but again, it NEVER stays balanced and you are constantly shifting your loads. It also leaves a soapy residue on your clothing leading to re-washing your loads. Not impressed at all and would not recommend it.

Great idea poor craftmanship

I actually like the idea because my son races motorcross and the washer sink made it easy to scrub his clothes before washing, however around the 10 month mark the washer lob would no longer lock with the lock mechanism needed to perform a wash. My husband looked at the locked mechanism and noticed when the washer was assembled the scre was over tightened which caused damage and made it unlockable. He removed the broken piece so we could at least do laundry. Called Samsung out because still under a year warranty and they refused to fix it due to physical damage, that we did not cause. They denied to fix it. We were then told by Homedepot we could fix under extended warranty until 1 year mark. So we waited and the continues to deteriorate, after a few weeks I heard screws drop inside drum and now to get the top the lock you have to push the lib back and hold until locks. Next Home Depot sent out a service company (same company as before) out. Home Depot approved the fixes and then Samsung service company denied it due to physical damage. Home Depot was suppose to send out another service company never sjowed up. We have tons of Samsung products but never have I experience such poor craftsmanship and poor customer service.

The lid doesn't stay up so I have a knot on my head from it closing on my while unloading. I'm only 5'4" so I have to practically climb into the machine to reach the bottom but can't do that with injury because the lid can't stay up.

This is a huge upgrade over the small, agitated washer we had before. This can wash loads about twice the size; it is so quiet; and the clothes--or items, I should say, because we have washed everything in the apartment that you can put in a washer--smell so fresh when they come out. It hasn't shown any error code("unbalanced load" or otherwise). It is a beast, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a large capacity top load washer. P.S.: Make sure you read the manual, especially if you haven't used a high efficiency washer before.

I am working on the 3rd service repair the washer machine on the same issue with the drum and they constantly dont want to replace the machine jst keep giving service repairs.

Dirty Clothes

Purchased this machine in August. It does not clean clothes. Small and large loads come out dirty. Self Clean cycle doesn't even take care of it. I would not recommend this product. First time Samsung appliance buyer and last! Large expense for something that does not do what it advertises to do which is clean clothes. Frustrated!

I too was wondering about the negative reviews but as most 5 out 5 star reviewers, I am so glad we got this washer and dryer combo. It's simple to use and convenient in size. Be sure to check to see if it fits in your laundry room first though. These turned out to be too big for mine but I had my contractor work on the room because I was keeping these. Haha!

Got this as an open box so it was a steal! It's massive and intimidating but I love everything about it. I can wash my calif king comforter with ease. I'm 5'10" so I have no issues reaching into it. Great washer
